NO--at best --you simply will find that it does not work as any med nearly 10 yrs old has lost its effectiveness.
However--as a medicine breaks down due to age--its chemical makeup changes and in some meds--become toxic.
I would call the drug store and ask--they know more about medications and their effects than doctors.

Bad idea. After a drug expires it's chemical makeup starts to change. And because Vicodin is a narcotic you're messing with something potentially dangerous.

My opinion is that it is safe but has lost some potency.
If you had no ill effects, you may want to take two next time.
