I ,as a Veteran from 1969 to 1975, brought an Islamic beliving man into my American Legion. This man is a decent hard working man. You'd think I had a disease the way everyone looked at me. Why would they get upset over me bring in a law abiding decent person into the legion?

For a person who claims in his "profile" he is not proud of his service between 1969 & 1975 and is an anti war protester, I think the looks were directed at YOU and not your Islamic believing friend.

If you did this, you did it to get attention, as nobody is really interested in your sad little life.

Uhhh I think you are full of ****. Mike you made a great point. Unless you and your guest were advertising or he decided to start praying in the middle of everyone I dont think anyone would have even known. And just so you know there are muslims serving in the U.S. Armed forces.

Becuase it would be like bringing in a Japanese American into the American Legion on December 8th, the day after Pearl Harbor.

Sounds like they have a problem...

I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. You aren't obligated to associate with people with that klind of chip on their shoulders.

Put it in a bubble and blow it away.

g-day!

How would they have known that he was a Muslim, unless you told them? Was he wearing a t-shirt saying 'Hi I'm a Muslim", or "Death to the Infidels"? And of course, why don't I believe you?
