When I began my nursing career I began my work at a VA Hospital on an "end stage unit." An end stage unit was for patients that were in the last stages of dying and were so sick that should be in ICU, but they had a "do not code" order; therefore, this excluded them from ICU.
This was in the mid-1980s. We began having the first AIDS patients and because we did not know much about AID/HIV the treatment was nonexistent.
There were many other types of patients dying as well and included many vets that had cancer, comatose from war injuries, etc.
I had been a Christian for many years, but not living a daily presence with Jesus.
Every week patients died and since they were "no codes" we had to stay with them and support them as they died. I have had the priviledge to hold many of them in my arms as they left this earth and went into the spirit realm. I have seen 2 types of death. A peaceful death and a horrific death. Some patients diseases were so horrific that the death process should have been horrific, but because of their faith in Jesus they died peaceful. Others that should have had a more peaceful death died screaming horrible obcenitites and screaming they were on fire.
I have seen patients in this unit and in Trauma Units that believed in other deities than Jesus, but changed there mind on their death beds as they got truth.
I have had the priviledge of leading many of these patients to the Lord on their death bed.
I want to say to all of you that say Jesus is not God, Jesus is not the only way that it is easy for you to say now as you are not on your death bed, but when it is your time you will come to a stark realization of how real Jesus is.
Shortly after I began nursing, I came to a quick realization of how important it is to have Jesus in my thoughts all of the time because no one knows when it is your time to die.

The Lord of Lords has become so much more than a Sunday personage to me. Before, He was a literal figure on a Cross at a church I attended, or Someone on a painting.
Now, He's revealed Himself to me, and I am very much awestruck - I mean, this is the Most High, the Living God! It's amazing that He would give His Son for me, a sinner!
Without abiding with Him each day, I would be empty. If I went long enough without Him and His marvelous Word (the Bible), I'd get spiritual anorexia...
My encouragement is this: Keep on seeking the Lord, and don't dare to give Him rest:
"You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."
- Jeremiah 29:13 (NIV)
Everytime you take a step toward God (this applies to both Christians and non-believers; in other words, everyone!), God takes a step toward you.
As you continue to seek the Lord, fellow brothers and sisters, you'll go deeper within Him, going from glory to glory. Life really won't be the same.
One of the greatest joys you can ever experience is the one you get from walking with Him each day of your life, knowing that you'll see Him face-to-face one day.

The Lord has been the strength of my life and my Salvation. I try to encourage personally encourage someone in Christ on a weekly basis. I really love to talk about Jesus and also learn from others. I have been blessed with a wonderful Christian caring spouse and three wonderful children. We are all happy and healthy, and we attribute all our blessings from God.
He is worthy to be praise.

Whenever I am sad or upset or alone, I always know that the Lord is always there for me. He cares for me. He loves me for who I am. He helps me through tough times. He made me believe. I encourage on when people are having a hard time, say that the Lord is with them and that suffering isn't evil. It can actually be a good thing, it teaches you something, though I do not like suffering.

Yes, Now I well know that Jesus Christ here has changed me some up to age 36, much more ages 36-37; since then for over 30 more years to date I am an eternally an "on Fire in Divine Fire" son of God in Jesus Christ Who IS here in our universe the full Spirit Luminosity-Essence of the Father-Infinite I AM. Blaise Pascal had this same experience and he progressed from being a great scientist to being a greater God-conscious evengelist and deep philosopher for and under Jesus Christ. Each year, we see more and more humans so transformed and thus more effective, even down here on earth ! Wonderful ! Peace ! Joy ! True righteousness, and much more !
Sorry, I never use the old term, "Lord". I prefer to share higher spiritual-Theological words for our Creator Jesus Christ such as Sovereign, Master, Father, God, Holy Father-Son-Spirit of ALL Truth, etc. . "Lord" now has lower meanings of "English noblility" and even "land-lords". "Jesus is Lord" is true if "Lord" means "fully God to us.". I share that Jesus Christ is our loving and merciful Sovereign Creator Father God, or that our Father-Son Jesus is God ! (in casual talk with many)
Here is a good, incisive statement by Dr. Laurence J. Peter (AD1919-AD1990) "Going to church doesn't make you any more a Christian than going to the garage makes you a car."
To all here, atheists (I was one) and agnostics (I was one) and beginning and spiritually advanced persons in Jesus Christ here fully in Spirit; (see and believe John 16:7-16) I now will share:
Our fellow man must first be known to you to be loved; God must first be loved by you to be known. This love begins with a deep love for some supreme value such as truth, beauty or goodness or various combinations thereof. You must be wholeheartedly in love with that goal; partial love will not yield a fully satisfying Revelation until after physical death.
Of all of my long studies, reflections, prayers and worship to date, what is the deepest, most God-revealing, most spiritual statement can I share in just a few words?
Jesus Christ says it best to all of us:
"...The Father speaks within the human heart as a still, small voice, saying, 'This is the way; walk therein.' Do you not comprehend that God dwells within you, that he has become what you are, that he may make you what He is !"
A suggestion: We all can turn off our secular TV programs for an hour each day and begin to tune in to "Channel One" The Way into Light and Life Eternal ! Thank You our infinitely loving and lavishly merciful Sovereign God-Man Savior Jesus Christ here with us now !
Peace and progress,
Brother Dave, a Jesusonian Christian Truthist

I do my best to love those around me the way God loves them: unconditionally. I don't always succeed, and when I fail, Jesus pops in on me and says "Is that how I would treat them?" Keeping that on my mind has greatly affected how I treat my fellow man, and it would serve the Christian community well if it became a more common practice.
