The Muslims in my area are hard working and have nice neighborhoods. Their children all all "A" students. The Muslims are respectful. I respect the Islamic faith and it seems to make people respectful. Should I, as an American, turn to the Muslim faith?

You could become a better person if you stopped your lying, fabrications, and dishonorable actions. The religion itself is not going to do anything for you until you stop your crap.

Islam holds philosophical and spiritual values that are not known amongst non-Muslims, and if you discover these then I am sure you will become a better person, God willing. But just becoming a 'Muslim' will not make you a better Person... finding these values, struggling, learning, worshiping God, etc will make you a better person; You have to make the effort though and change yourself by your own hands otherwise you will stay where you are for as long as you live.

Making yourself better is possible without a religion, but making yourself better with Islam is like having the directions and advice right in your hands when you make the journey to self discovery, and you are less likely to get lost.

I bid you well brother.

First of all, Islam does not look into someone race, nationality, skin color, status, richness, face, gender etc... what is important in Islam is "the level of FAITH (Iman) to Allah SWT" in muslims' hearts.

Islam itself means "peace".. that's why any muslims who really understands the teaching and concept of Islam will be like the muslims as you see in your neighbourhood... they never harass their neighbours even if the faith is different, Muslims must respect neighbours as in the islamic moral values teachings.

Why don't you ask them about Islam? i am very certain that they will happily help you with this.. and now there are lots of americans already converts to Islam and there are many mosques in America.. I think you know better than me because you are american who lives in America... ;)

There is a verses in Quran 20:2-3 , Strive for Allah with the sriving due to Him. He has selected you and not placed any constraint upon you in the religion- of your forefather Ibrahim. He named you Muslims before and also in this, so that the Messenger could be witness against you and you cuould be witnesses against all mankind. So perform prayer and give alms and hold fast to Allah. He is your Protector- the Best Protector, the Best Helper.
and Quran 7:42 - written - We do not impose on any self any more than it can stand. With Us there is a Book which speaks the truth. They Will not be wronged.
Quran 2: 185 - Written. -- Allah desires ease for you, He does not desire difficulty for you . You should complete the number of days and proclaim Allah's greatness for the guidance. He ahs given you so that hopefully you will be thankful.
With all these verses, shows to be a muslim, you dont have to scared of anything else, just remember and believe He will be with you, and help you, insyaallah. Please if you have some free time do read translate Quran in english for you to understand more islam.

Yes u can, its your decission. Dont listen to the people who poke their nose with every one's affairs.

First try to go to the mosque in America and see if Muslims respect u. If they do, then please ask them about Islam.

98% of the Non-Muslims dont know about Islam, the real Islam. They just believe that Islam is the religion of hate and wars but it isn't really. That type of Islam is created by Media. Because Media want to finish the Muslims at all cost.

You can revert to Islam, I bet u will feel some kind of pleasure and satisfaction reverting to Islam.

After u became Muslim, u will be our brother.

Allah bless u and try to take u to the true and the only right path. (Ameen, SummaAmeen)

You know what; choose the path that makes the most sense for YOU. Don't listen to what others (especially some of the bigoted schmucks on here) tell you. If you feel that Islam is the path for you and falls in line with what you believe, go for it. At the very least, learn everything you can about it and then make a decision.

you can become a better person by reading the quran and hadiths like i have. as i read the quran and hadiths i took over 550 pages of notes of some of the the most vile things i have ever read in my life. so maybe all muslims should do the same. muslims know so little about islam.

If Islam makes sense to you then go for it. There's nothing wrong with the Muslim faith, the problem is with individuals who interpret it as an excuse for violence against other human beings.

If you are thinking about becoming ANY religion, then you should learn what that religion teaches and not just how hard some people in that religion work, or live in nice neighborhoods.

Because I think you would find that lots of people of all faiths fit that description, with lovely kids making straight A's and on the honor roll...I know Buddhists like that, atheists, Hindus, lots of Jewish people, Catholics, Lutherans, Presbyterians. See your dilemma in using the criteria you listed?

So while I personally pray that you will see the light and life that can be yours in a relationship with Jesus Christ, at the very least I hope you will do some discovery about what Islam is all about before you convert.

Dear Brother

By becoming a Muslim, you are not only following the Last Holy Prophet Muhammed peace be on him, but also following all the Holy Prophets right from Adam untill Noah, Abraham, David, Solomon, Moses, Jesus peace be on all of them.

All the Holy Prophets are the Followers of God Almighty, the Only Creator of the Whole Universe and its Only Sustainer.

When all the Holy Prophets are the Messengers of the Same God and Only One God, there cannot be different religions but ONE as a Logic, and God names that Religion as Islam, which means Submission and Peace.

As Muslims neither we can reject any Holy Prophet Nor Degrade them. If any one does so he shall be out of Islamic Faith.

So do not be carried away by seeing few coorrupt so called Muslims and turn yourself away from the True Religion of All the Holy prophets peace be on all of them.

Holy Quran is the Only Holy Book available today un corrupted un altered in its Original Arabic Language and even preserved in the hearts of Muslims. If you burn away all the available hard copies of Holy Quran, it will be still present in its original form. It is obligatory for a Muslim to recite original Arabic Verses of Holy Quran in our Daily prayers.

The Conduct and Charecter of Our Holy Prophet is a living example and guidance to lead our life.

Go through the comments of Great Non Muslim Christian Scholars on Islam, Holy Quran and Holy Prophet peace be on him to convince you further.

May God Bless you and Your Family Amen.
