4000 is about the average cost. Where we live there is a dental school at a local university and you can get all dental work done four about half of the regular price and they take some insurance. That's how my single mother could afford to have me in braces for 4 years. They do good work too because it is students that are about to graduate and their grades depend on how well they do on your teeth! And there is always a professor/ real dentist that checks their work.

It really depends upon where you live and how long you need to wear them. For example, my son doesn't have too terrible of teeth, but they say he will need them for 15 months. It will be around $4500.00. Go out and get extimates, it might vary drastically between different offices. Also, your regular dentist might be able to do Invisalign or something like that for cheaper. Make some appointments.

Mine were 5k, so and get some estimates, from a few people, don't pick the cheapest, or the most expensive.
