It's the Holy Ghost, not the Holly Ghost.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints doesn't bind itself to the Nicene Creed. We believe that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost are three individuals who work together in the council known as the Godhead. Most other Christians will say they're three Persons in one God (the Trinity).

Most Christians know they worship ONE God.
1 God the Father x 1 God the Son x 1 God the Holy Spirit =ONE GOD.
Not 1+1+1=3.

I'm sorry that you're getting so many poor answers, but it's a confusing concept that you're asking to any millions of people, many who don't believe or who can't really tell you.
God is father, son and holy spirit all in one. like it was said above, its like 1x1x1 still equals 1. or 3 people in a family is still 1 family. It is not the result of religious dogma or anything like that. it says that in the bible. its an abstract idea to our human minds but we must trust that what God says is true. One day, everything will be clear to us.
And don't be worried. You don't have to understand every detail (and we won't anyway) in order to be sure you're going to heaven. All you have to do is TRUST that Jesus died on the cross to save us because he love every single one of us. In the old testament, he seemed spiteful and bad things would happen to sinners who didn't ask forgiveness. But Jesus died on the cross, to pay the horrible price for all our sins, all at once. Then he rose to prove he had conquered sin.
So even if you don't understand everything now, just trust in Him, and what the bible says. Ask questions to someone you know is saved and educated and can help you out, like a pastor. And ask God himself in your prayer. He can make things clear as well. He doesn't want to confuse us. He wants to save us.

Some Christians believe the doctrine of the Trinity. As such, we consider Father, Son and Holy Spirit to be, collectively, one God.
Other sects might call themselves Christians, in so far as they consider Christ to be a great leader, but don't consider him to be God. I suspect that "Jehovah's Witnesses" would fall into this category.

In Christianity. There is only one God. His name is Jesus.
The father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit are one. We were created in Gods image. The bible is a help tool in daily living. It is a history of our past. Our present and future.

Although the human mind can not comprehend the mystery of the trinity, Christians say we will burn in hell for not believing it.
Christians say they understand it and explain it like a "egg". I'll bet God likes being compared to a cracked "egg" with the insides separated into different bowls.
The Bible says Jesus sits at the right hand of God in Heaven. It also calls Jesus the "slain lamb" in heaven. He is separate and distinct from God in the Bible.
God split into thirds and sent 1/3 to earth as his Son, then let his son be killed, but it was really 1/3 of himself. Then that 1/3 of himself rose to heaven to sit at the right hand of the other 2/3rds. Or 1/3, not counting the Holy Ghost, who's only contribution was impregnating a child virgin.
Hmmm. How does that make sense to anybody?
Actually, the trinity idea came about because the Christian religion is a mixture of other religious dogma and some ideas from other religions just got mixed in.
Then when everyone said that was polytheistic, the Christian leaders had to try and come up with some explanation. Which doesn't really make sense to most people.

WTF man I kinda was interested until I tried reading your question. I think christians understand their god, even if they don't abide by him like they claim. Father, son, holy ghost, I think are kinda all the same. Well, I guess holy ghost is maybe God, and of course the son is Jesus, they all intertwine. Was that a word?

It is you who do not understand;-{ the Christian concept.
Your way of expressing the question is what is confusing.
We refer to GOD as a Trinity of 3 persons in one godhead.
Jews understood GOD as Spirit, from the time of Genesis.
Christians took 600 years to understand Jesus as GOD.
Jesus also referred to GOD as his Father & of us all.

God is not subject to time. The xtian God is omnipotent, omnipresent , and omniscient - in other words, God is an Infinity.
Infinity * infinity * infinity = infinity
