What cause do you feel most strongly about?

Say you had a million dollars or 3-4 crores to donate (and not to donate to yourself!!!!!) what would you put that money towards?

I'd give it to my community. For fixing places up, cleaning streets, improving schools....and maybe using it as a base budget to start more programs and fundraisers that would raise awareness and encourage people to join together and help out more. I would have liked to say "World Hunger" or something like that....but I feel like we need to start with our own neighborhoods first.

I am not sure what crores are... but a million dollars can't do much. I guess that if I had more than a million, I would put it towards the development of a 100% petroleum free vehicle. This is essential for us to get going or this country is going to go under. But a million wouldn't do much there. So with only a million, I would try to set up college funds for young people who had gone off track and wanted to try to get it together again. Everybody who wants to try deserves a second chance.

I donate to the peace corps on-line when I can and when I do I usually give some to their education and environmental programs, those are two things I've always felt strongly about. Food and medical are a given, but without education and a healthy and clean environment on which to live off people will not be able to take care of themselves and will always be dependent on others.

I would donate my money to a Pregnancy Assistance Center.
They help out with mothers and young children. They do STD test and pregnancy test. Some are christian based. Some you must read pamphlets and books to get things for your baby. The organization teaches woman and young girls about their options and help them deal with there options. This organization does not help with abortion they do give all the info about abortion so the mother can make the best decision possible. I think it's great and I used to donate my time and any other needs I could. I currently don't due to my circumstances.

I would love to help the poor people get off the streets and definitely help children of violence and poverty live happy lives so I think my idea for change would be to open up several orphanages to help children who don't get a chance to grow up. I would also love to take tonnes of food to the poor country and donate all the food to them, to see them eat happily for even one day will warm my heart. Unless my $3-4 million could find the cure for cancer then I would love to help out that way, if everybody helped out in one or another this place would be a better world!

P.S - You don't happen to be a rich old man who is planning on leaving his estate to one lucky yahoo member with a good idea for world peace are you?

I would give some to orphans especially abandoned/unwanted children. Hopefully the institution will use it for their benefit. Then some I will give to those people who thought their wishes will never be fulfilled. I just want to see sparks in their eyes. Then some I will donate to old people poor or abandoned by their family. Some I will donate to people suffering from severe illnesses for funding their medical costs. Lastly the remaining I will give it to my dear son whom I love so much.Nothing for myself.

This is an interesting question. I will never never donate coz i do not know whether the organization is really giving my $ to the needy. I would go to hospitals and help to pay the surgery bills of those who cant afford the high medical bills. I will help to pay for families who cant even buy food or struggle to pay their house rents and maintenance bills of their homes. Sponsor children who wish to study but not well-off.

I am senior citizen and I understand many seniors are suffering a lot and I will start a OLD age Home for those affected people and serve this people out of the money you are giving. I feel that those senior citizens should be peaceful till their death, because of they have done enough in their life for the children like you and NOW suffering because those children let theses old age people on the road. Upgrading the consciousness level of the species, dramatically, and especially that of the people who govern. Obviously, allowing narcissist sociopaths and psychopaths to run countries and a planet is not in the best interest of the vast majority who are governed, from all appearances :))

the thing i feel strongly about cant be cured with money.
i get so so so angry when i see people altering religion according to their conveniance and then try to bring down the Athiest thinking they r better than them.

but if i have the money, i would sponser some orphan childeren in Africa, it will make me feel so happy and satified knowing that some kids are gonna have a better life becouse of me!
