As some of you know I do not believe in a historical jesus. So I would like to take this opportunity to see if you can convince me. Send me whatever links you want and I will read them. I have done quite alot of research on this subject so I am sure I have seen most of them.
Please don't bother with the Josephus quote as it has been proved to be altered.
If you are going to quote the bible (which I would prefer you wouldn't) please only use the original hebrew tanakh as to say the least I am suspicious of the Septuagint and all of it's "offspring" translations.
The NT does not count.
Bonus points to anyone who can provide me with anything pre Paul and his epistles.
Good Luck

So I guess as usual that would be a no? Sorry but faith is completely useless, go try to convince anyone of anything using faith.

As obviously most of you do not seem to know jesus was not even born in the year 0 more like 3-7 B.C. The calendar did not change at 0 either.

The proof that I have for you, is the Holy Spirit. The proof of Jesus Christ being a man is in the Image of God in the human body form, is the only way to having a spirit when we leave this earth. The soul of Jesus Christ is God Almighty the soul, entity, and being. The Image of God whom is Jesus Christ was the one who lived on this earth as an image. The spirit of resurrected Jesus Christ would become the Holy Spirit. Only by the Holy Spirit, God Almighty does the work that He has the will to do here on earth. Jesus Christ whom is the Image of God payed the price of dying on the cross so God Almighty could be with all people here on earth in the form of the Holy Spirit, as people ultimately destroy the earth, and all living.
It is the Holy Spirit that gave God Almighty away on this one.
*I know sometimes when I read the gospals, I can get a lil confused because with everthing that is symbolic and my knowing this, the thought of "was He really here" touches my heart deeply. But than again, I am ever reminded that He did because of the Holy Spirit.

The thing about faith is that the possibility for doubt needs to exist. Otherwise, it would be knowledge and not faith and there would be no significance in it. That being said, there is not a cut and dry passage in the TNK that says "Okay, there's gonna be a day laborer (I'm sick of people calling him a carpenter, the Greek word that's used means "one who works with his hands") and he's gonna do this, this and this."
It's not really the sort of thing you convince someone of...If you believe it then believe it, if you don't then don't. No one said you had to believe something that didn't make sense to you. On the contrary, you should be most truthful to yourself by believing only what makes sense to you...My statement was just an explanation of why a lot of people with different (but equally sincere) convictions believe what they believe.

Our whole calender is not based on that. I mean we have, Saturn-day, Sun-day, Moon-day.. Tues? day.
Besides The Bible there is little if any historical proof. Although, there are claims the cross was found and people who touch pieces from it are cured from illness, and claims that the Ark was found under the site of crucifixion with Jesus's 23 chromosome blood on it, which doesn't make any sense because blood has no DNA.

...this proof you seek lies only within yourself...I could cut and paste countless admirable texts and sites that speak Truth...but I will not do so...the Truth is within "you"...why?
...you're going about this backwards...you will never have "proof"...not in the way you are referring, anyway...one does not get wet unless they go into the water...someone could tell you the water is wet and give you scientific backing, splash around in it in front of you...but until you step into the water, yourself, how will you "know" for sure if you've never experienced it before?...so too with Jesus...
...don't seek "proof" of Him so you can finally understand...rather, believe, first...then you "will" understand and have all the "proof" that exists on Heaven and earth at your feet...if you are serious about wanting an answer, as you are obviously an intelligent person, then, you need to step into the Living water...what have you got to loose by doing so?...

I don't believe in religions at all but as in many regligions there are people that did exist within some of their writings.
Jesus was just a normal person with a family like others that did exisit. His bones were found some years back in a family crypt. Many people just don't want to admit the truth about the finding of it though. For this would prove the bible all wrong.
People like to make Gods, saints, profits and leaders out of famous people within their time. But they are still only people and nothing more.

ok so first of all our whole calender is based on him I mean does that not tell u anything? so we KNOW that Jesus Christ did exist. The only question is is he the messiah? so the jews say that the disciples stole his body from the tomb rite? but there were MANY guards around the tomb, the stone was too heavy to be moved by one person and the guards had to guard the tomb with THEIR LIFE. so how is it possible for the body to "be stolen" when there were more guards than disciples and the guards had to guard with their life (which means they would not be off guard unless they wanted to die) and the stone was too heavy to roll away. hmmmmmmm

Jesus is for real because He lives within my heart. Proof?
The way I live and treat people. Even if one cannot prove (to your satisfaction) that historically Jesus lived, you can't take away the effect He had on millions of peoples' lives. No you can't take that away. No one.

it's all in history! before His birth, the years went backwards. instead of going from 2007 to 2008, it went from 2008 to 2007. this is because it was a count down to when Jesus was going to be born. Once he was born, it stared going from the year 1 then 2 A.D., ect. why would it be that way if Jesus was never born?
