We were dating for over a year when he had to leave the country - he had to go back home to be with his family (his dad died). A few months later, and we're still arguing because he can't call me (he can't get phone cards there, and hasn't found a way to be able to call) and he doesn't email me (he's not an email person, though he has a computer) - he expects me to call all the time. He leaves for weekends without telling me, leaving me wondering where he is. I've always been sure that he loves me, we've talked about marriage, he says he'd never cheat on me. I haven't talked to him for five days, and I haven't gotten an email either. I'm under a lot of stress at school right now - a LOT - and he knows this, and I've begged him to email me more, so that I know I can count on him to be there for me. He swore he would. I don't know what to do, I love him, but it's driving me crazy! I admitted I'm insecure and I need him to reassure me, all he needs to do is email me, and he won't.

If I were you, I'd stop calling. Let HIM know what it feels like. Leave him wondering where the hell you are etc etc. You'll be able to tell if he really cares about you.
Alternatively, dump him and find a man who can ******* type out an email, I don't think I would have put up with his lack of contact for more than a couple of weeks.
Also if his dad died a few MONTHS ago, why is he still over there? Sorry if I sound insensitive, but he should be back home already if its been more than like a month, if he moved to a whole different country, he can't have cared for his family THAT much.

Just forget about him for a while and see what happens. If he really cares for you he will get word to you one way or the other and not take it for granted that you will aways be there. as far as you know, he may never come back so it is best to put that relationship on hold until he does return.
As far as school, go to a health food store and get some DMAE. It is not expensive, natural, and you will find that it will improve your memory and test scores I take it often and so do all my friends who are students and they all thank me for telling them about it. Good luck to you

you know...i think it is worth hanging onto. you should definately talk to him about it, but i do that with my bf. his phone wont call long distance and i have to call him all the time. sometimes i dont talk to him for like, a week. he is always going places when he says he will stay home and it worries me, but i have faith in him and in God enough to keep it up. just trust him. it is totally worth hangin onto
