I know it may sound stupid, but what is the difference between a guy calling you hot or sexy, and a guy calling you beautiful? If a guy uses this line, is he just trying to see how far he can get you to go off of flattery, or does it mean he likes you? What does it mean?

A lot of guys will excessively compliment girls but not be sincere with their words. They do this so they can make the girl more inclined to do things with them. In other words, they're being manipulative.

Well...it's a little of both. Some men know the game and so they call you beautiful just to flatter you and make you feel the way you do now.
But then there are those genuine guys who call you beautiful as they stare into your eyes and reach to kiss your forehead, well those guys...they mean they love you!

In my opinion, when a guy calls you beautiful, he's looking more at your personality rather than your exterior. Being called sexy and hot is ok, but being called beautiful means that he really likes you and isn't afraid to let you know it.
