at 17, with your parents' signature, you can enter what is called DEP: Delayed Enlistment Program. that basically locks in your job and a ship date(assuming you graduate high school on time, that is).
or, at 17 and a Hiogh School graduate and parent's signature, you can ship out as soon as you can get penciled into a School. Note: it must be a HS diploma at 17. GEDs are not accepted until you are 18, and even then only rarely.

Joining via the Delayed Entry Program is a great thing to look in to, because you'll work with the recruiter all year, to learn many things about military life and boot camp. Also, if you're looking at an MOS (or military job) that requires a lot of technical training, you'll be more likely to get into the training program by enlisting via the DEP. (Each recruiting district only has so many seats per school, per calendar year, so by enlisting early, you're reserving your seat!!)
Good luck to you! Train hard and fight hard and remember to call your mom frequently. Those calls mean the world to us!

You can enlist at 17. but can't enter boot until your 18. My suggestion would be to at least get into a ROTC program or something to prepare you. Enter as a officer, it's much better. But good luck.

You may enlist at 17, but I strongly suggest going to college on an ROTC scholarship. Being an officer is much better. :) But good luck in whatever you choose! See a recruiter about your options.

You can go in at 17 if you get your parents to sign a waiver, but you will also have to meet their education and physical requirements. I signed up at 16 and my mother went with me when I turned 17 and signed me in. This was in the 60’s and they might be a little more picky today but go see that recruiter and get it going if you have your heart set.
