How do I submit material to a record label without it being considered unsolicited?

I'm searching for a label, but I read the FAQs and they all say the same thing (we do not accept any unsolicited material). Help?

Go to Amazon. com and get you the latest copy of "The Songwriter's Market" It is loaded with record companies and publishers, some still DO take unsolicited material.

It needs to be sent via an agent.
