I just got a MAC mini today but I don't know anything. Is there a better guide than the manual?

I also don't know how to rename anything

If you're new to the Mac, you should consider buying David Pogue's "Switching to the Mac: The Missing Manual" - he's very knowledgable, and a good writer.

As to renaming a file - click on the name - it will open a small windows around the file name, allowing you to type in a new name or edit the current name.

If you have gotten past the question of "How do I get Safari to connect to the Internet?" you can use the free online guides from the two links below.

To rename a file or folder, click once on the name, wait 2 seconds and click once again on the name. Now type your new name. Another way is: control (ctrl) + click on the file or folder, choose "Get info" from the drop list. In the Info window, click open the arrow for "Name and extension". In the space that shows the current name, type the new name.

Avoid renaming any of the system files (stuff in System, Library and Users folder-- you can rename stuff you have created and saved to your home folder inside Users) unless you like to experiment with making your computer fail to work.

double click to highlight any folder name on the desktop or in finder this will allow you to rename the folder.

There are many websites that specialise in helping people who are new to Macs, try out http://www.mac-help.com to find more resources. The Mac community is generally very friendly and willing to help new users, so don't be shy to ask.
