Ephesians 2:8 You are saved by grace through faith, and not by works so that none may boast.

You are now under the dispensation of grace from the time of the apostle Paul, with his 13 epistles around 60 A.D up to the present. Paul emphasizes deeply that "Salvation is by our living faith alone without works but always result in good fruit bearing works. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 4:4-5, Titus 3:5 etc) In science, GIGO, whatever you will plant that you will also harvest. John 3:16, God planted love. Do you think it will harvest hate? unless man is mentally psychotic or solipsistic.

Salvation is by God's grace, and through faith in Christ. Works are the fruits of faith.

A very good pastor told me that faith and works are like the oars in a boat. One or the other is good but the only way that boat is going forward is to use the oars together. Bearing this in mind one must have both to have salvation.

We are saved by faith alone, but faith never walks alone. Faith naturally bears the fruit of good works. Good works are the evidence that faith is there. "The just shall live by his faith."--Hab. 2:4. "God hath saved us and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began."--2 Tim. 1:9. "For by grace are ye saved, through faith, and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast."--Eph. 2:8-9.
"Faith without works is dead."--James 2:26. If you read only James, you would despair of ever being saved. Read it and see what I mean. You have to read the whole Bible because it explains itself. The whole Bible works together in order to give the whole story. You can't get hung up on one verse. "Without faith, it is impossible to please God."--you'll need a concordance for this one. :o( God bless you on your search for the Truth.

You cannot have faith without it working. Hebrews 11 and James. Hebrews lists the "hall of faith" and each one in the hall showed his faith by his works. James says faith that does not work is dead, being alone.

Salvation is by faith through the mercy and grace of God. But once saved, you want to do works.

Its by faith alone, too many scriptures to prove it, but the main one is Ephesians 2:8-9.
