I have seen alot of good deals on the Vactions to Go website for cruises. I am interested in booking a cruise for next summer with my family. Has anyone used this site? Is it legit? Good/bad experiences? I've only used travel agencies and I am hesitant to use this site.

When booking a cruise, I strongly suggest that you not use an all-purpose agency. Vacations to go is legit, but they do not specialize in cruises. Cruise lines do not discount. Companies that specialize in selling cruises always block space way in advance and are your best chance of getting the best deal. If someone can beat the price of Cruises Inc, then they are giving up part of their commission which isn't all that much to begin with. So if they are not getting much money, how much service can you expect? Cruises Inc takes great pride in the service they give and can usually match or beat any legitimate offer out there including that of Vacations to Go.

I've never booked an entire vacation through a single site. I've bought airline tickets directly from the airline's website, I've booked the hotel through the hotel's website, I've booked the rental car through the rental car's website -- the "portal" sites, like Expedia or Orbitz, will add booking fees to one or more of the components, and that's unnecessary unless you suck at organization.

I used Vacations to go last year and it was a very good experience and I saved a lot of money. Just be careful of the cabin you are assigned. I like to stay kind of close to the middle of the ship because of the sea sickness.

Yes, I used them last year and I also booked another vacation online - I will never do this again! Our cabin was changed without our knowledge at the last minute and our transfer arrangments were messed up. My travel agent was more knowledgeable - had the same prices and was there to give me personal service. Nothing went wrong when we booked with her and I had thought that the price was better online - I was wrong!
Go back to your travel agent is my advice.

loved using vacations to go website for cruises. Have been satisfied with their professionalism, courtesy and prices.

the only drawback is that i wanted a 1-2 day cruise and they told me they stopped selling the one to two day cruises.

what a shame for them

We used Vacations to go on our last cruise and got a real good deal, and was able to choose where on the ship we wanted to stay, they were very professional, and helpful and I would use them again
