My sister's and I are meeting at laguardia (We are all from different states) for a weekend in NYC. We have been arguing the best way to get from the airport to our hotel. Our hotel is in Midtown Manhatten. Can someone give us some advice?

Take the M60 bus from Laguardia to Astoria. Take the N subway into midtown Manhattan. You can go to LaGuardia's website and find the information. MTA map.

I went the cab ride route once because I was late to the heliport. I would recommend the public transportation because it is just more fun. You can get a $7 ticket at the airport and ride any subway or bus all day.

Nothing like a trip with your sisters! Hope you have fun : )

Don't know if this is the "best" way. But, we took a taxi from Laguardia to Midtown Manhattan. Make sure you get in the line for taxis. It may be long, but it moves really fast. DON'T go with any of the people who approach you in the airport or while you're in line. I know someone who did and they paid double what we did.

Please, for your sanity, take a taxi. As soon as you leave the airport there will be a line outside of people waiting for the taxis. You can put your luggage right in the trunk and they will take you EXACTLY where you need to go. (Make sure you print out the address and phone number of your hotel, your driver will most likely need the exact street instead of just the name)

Don't try to take the subway with all of your luggage and your inexperience with taking a subway in the first place. (I'm from New York and probably STILL wouldn't bother with the subway) The bus would be a hassle, too. Just take the taxi... it's the easiest way...and the cost between three people isn't very much money.

There should be an airport shuttle, that's how i always got to my hotel. If not taxis are very avaliable...save the subway stuff for after you have gotten all your stuff at the room, you don't want to be draggin that stuff all over when you really don't know where your going. But def. use the subways while your there, they are cheap and you will get the full New Yorker experience.

Are you of Greek descent bc if you are there's a really great Greek grocery store [Titan Foods ]located 2 blocks the where the M-60 would let you off
Otherwise take a cab from LGA to Midtown
There is a set group rate[max 4-people per cab ] to any address east of 5th ave from 23rd st to 96 th st of $7.50 pp and west of 5th ave of $8.50pp
Then add the tip and the tolls
Personally if I was going to midtown from LGA I would use the Queens Midtown Tunnel and pay the $4.00 toll
