Good morning ! It's 10:00 am, Monday in China right now. I am happier all these years because I am MUCH less selfish than I was. As a person trying his best to love God and other fellow human beings, I think less about myself, but more of God and people who may need my attention and care. In the past, I was a self-centered individual, and believe me, I was not as happy as I am.

Yes I'm happy. I did a ton of gardening today and got in a real hard workout at it! I planted flowers, dug weeds, blessed the little ant colonies, listened to the birds calling, and had a great time getting totally dirty and then taking a great hot hot shower. At a craft store I found some materials to use for the upcoming Christian holiday and I used them to make a pagan symbol: they had little sticks woven into circles, (for wreaths) and the same sticks woven into five-pointed stars (perhaps for the star of Bethlehem) so I bought them and the star FIT PERFECTLY INSIDE THE CIRCLE. So voile, a very cool all natural PENTACLE!!!!! too cool!

I find happiness in nature, in simple things, in walks with my dog, being with my wonderful 14 year old son and listening to him make completely silly goofy off the wall remarks and we just laugh and laugh!

I am also happy because my house is CLEAN!!!!! It is amazing how much dog hair gets all over this house, I swear, I am amazed my dog isn't bald!

Tomorrow I go back to teach my students, and I am happy being with them. They work so hard to learn English, and I am proud of them.

I recall the thing that Abraham Lincoln purportedly said: most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be. I guess I make up my mind to be happy.

Blessings!
Happiness!

We as part of the human family, have sojourned here to experience both happiness and sadness! We need to understand the underlying causes of each. When we come to this understanding we should accept both with great joy. There will come a time in mans life when one must not allow oneself to become immersed within either. When this time arrives a seldom talked of word known as "contentment" enters the heart of man. It is when "contentment" becomes firmly established in mans heart that man has his first taste of a thing called "Inner Peace". This is the "true peace" that man seeks in his life. This is the dawning of "Wisdom" in man.

May we all yearn for "Wisdom" in our lives.

I agree with (Don H) that judging both situations and other fellow human beings is one of the things that is responsible for destroying mans "Joy of Life". Well said (Don H)!

Wow. so many things make me happy. The simple things really, the hugs my grandchildren give me,my husband and I laughing at the same joke, the smell of fresh linen, going to sleep every night knowing that my family are all okay and praising God for everything.

I'm happy. The Patriots and the Red Sox both won!

I have a loving family and a terrific group of friends. What more could I ask?

Congrats for wishing happiness on everyone.

I wish I could give the answer you are looking for. I am thankful for happy times but also have accepted that there will also be other occasions when faith in God takes command over a less-than-happy emotion.

'Happy'? I am not smiling, but i am not depressed or discontent. I do what I have to do. That gives me enough reason to live and continue to live. I feel "joy" when I look at a beautiful and profoundly touching art or nature...or when I get a really nice reply

yes, i'm happy for the most part tonight. there are a couple things and folks that could make me happier... but that's a different section lol.
breathing makes me happy, being able to go outside makes me ecstatic, and being with my girls makes me leap for joy.

I'm very happy. I'm in a situation that is pretty conducive to happiness. I'm very comfortably retired. Every day of my life I get up....and do exactly what I feel like doing.
