My real question is:
How do you die for someone's sins?
Cause it makes no sense.
I mean, how do you die for an act that violates a moral rule or the state of having committed such a violation in the first place? It doesn't help anyone or make a difference.
People always talk about 'Jesus died for our sins'.
I don't get it. Someone explain.
(Sorry for the misleading topic title).

Pretty Simple. If you are murdered you have died because someone sinned.
Christ came to Earth as a person and told people they were twisting God's word for their own purposes. People killed Christ in the most humiliating way possible at the time. Christ took a short nap, got up, told everyone he was alive and walked home.
The point is that Man's Laws, Rules and Understanding means nothing. God is the only real Judge of Sin. No matter how much people hurt you, torture you, humiliate you or even kill you God can raise you up again.
Christ died so everyone would know that our sins, our mistakes, would not be held against us as long as we repented, learned from, our sins.
If people did not sin there would have been no reason for Christ to Die.
Since people do Sin Christ had to Die to get the Good News of the forgiveness of Sins across to people.

Without getting into allot of bible and stuff. You have to realize that God created time as well as the earth, people etc... God knew from the start how many people there were ever going to be on earth. The idea of Jesus was to take the punishment for all the sins that everyone then, now, and the future would ever commit. He could do this because God already knows what everyone will do and how many people there will be until the end of time. When a person is saved or accepts Jesus as their savior, they are saying that they believe that Jesus has already taken their punishment for them, thus, allowing them to go to Heaven when they die. Hope this made sense, and that I helped.....

If you have a Bible then turn to the book of John . Start reading it and then come back and ask again after you have read the whole book. I guarantee
your life will be changed forever.
You will find a friend that loves you more then anyone else as you read this book. Jesus is real. No one has to make up stories about him.
There was a man that hated Christians. He persecuted them relentlessly. Saul , who had a real experience with the LORD. His name was changed to Paul and he became the greatest apostle of all time.
Thank you for asking this question because it makes me to know that God is going to meet you down the road , more the half way...sooner better then later.

God needed sacrifices of animals for the sins of people in the Old Testiment times. The blood of the animals blotted out the peoples sin. God decided to make it a one time sacrifice and as with the animals they had to be without any defects. Jesus was the only Person without sin and perfect so God sacrificed Jesus by having Him hung on the Cross as a way to now cover those sins of those who have recieved their salvation. I don't know exactly how blood works in this except that it is our life sustaining substance.

Pretend for a sec there actually is a God. A God who has an infinite love for human beings that we can't grasp the greatness of. He wanted to relate to mankind and show us on a level we could understand a tangible person who was pure and blameless. He sent Jesus to this world in the form of man (but who was also God). By sending Jesus, he was granting people life everlasting and the forgiveness of sins if they wanted it. Jesus taught gently and lovingly and gave us a moral code to live by. God actually gave up his son for us. Who on this earth would ever do that?

In the Old testament, God designed a system of sacrifice for the cleansing of sin. Abel's sacrifice was acceptable to God and it was a blood sacrifice. When God later designed the priesthood and appointed Aaron as the high priest, he set up a system of sacrifice for the Jewish people. They could come at any time during the year to bring their sacrifice as prescribed in the laws (found in Leviticus, and Deuternomony) as well as the commandments. (Exodus 20) Once a year, the high priest would present sacrifice first for himself, to cleanse himself, and then for the nation, and it would be taken into the holy of holies and the blood offered to God on the ark of the covenant mercy seat. But the people struggled with this. Continual sacrifices became a ritual of blood that began to loose it meaning. God has planned all along that 'when the fullnes of time had come God sent Jesus" to be a sacrifice, one that would cover and cleanse all sin for all time for those who would accept his sacrifice. Because he was pure and holy, no blemish...the Son of God, also called the Lamb of God.... His blood when shed not only covered our sin, but cleanesed it. YOu have to see the whole picture painted throughout the old and new testament of the Bible. Then you will understand it better. The writer of the book of Hebrews explains it very well as the book was written to the Jewish people of that day. Jesus was a "better" sacrifice, a better high priest...who brought his blood to the altar of Almighty God in heaven to atone for all the sins of mankind. Now those who believe and repent have cleansing of their sin. Hope that helps

Dying for someone else's sins may not make sense to your human mind, but you can rest assured that someone done it for you and for me; Jesus Christ. I'm certain that it was not easy for Jesus to do, for He surely went through more pain and suffering and torment than you or myself can imagine. But it was all for us; out of greater love than anyone could ever understand. If you don't get it, my advice to you is to read the Word of God, and believe what you read to be the words straight from the mouth of God. There is no need for you to try and understand every bit of it; just believe it to be true. Faith in God is what brings it to reality in our life; not how well we understand it. There are many things in the Word of God that my human mind cannot comprehend. Yet I still believe it every bit to be truth. Just go to John 3:16 and read it, and trust that it is a true promise from Jesus.

The Bibilical Translation is that Jesus died for our sins.
This will only make sense if you understand the values it has on Christian believers. Christians value the death of Christ to signify life and God's love for the world!
Of Course we may ask ourselves how can this be! Well if you can read your bible - that's if you have one...you will be surprised to see the answers in there.
For if I explain in writting you will always have that doubt!
Happy Reading!

Well, now that you've found him, if no one claims him in 30 days... he's yours.
It's the whole blood thing. What they don't understand is that even in the Old Test, God doesn't tell them they HAVE to have a blood sacrifice... that was taken upon mankind (according to the Bible). And all of the "laws" showing how one should do a blood sacrifice, are Priest Laws... not Laws handed down from the Biblical God. Geez, I wish they'd actually study their "Holy" Text.
