Which varieties of Spanish arrived in the Americas?

Good question! My understanding is that a lot of the people who settled the Americas were from the southern part of Spain, such as Andalucia.

That is an interesting question! I know we in Latin America speak castellano, but I am not sure if only a variety of Castillian arrived here.

The most common variety was Castellano.
