My dentist always asks if I'm taking any new prescription drugs whenever I go for a checkup or cleaning. If yours doesn't, then do the asking yourself. Most likely your dentist will ask you to discontinue the medication a day or two before the extraction. Some medicines can cause excessive bleeding, a rise in blood pressure, or other symptoms. So make sure it's okay before you have the tooth pulled.

I am not sure if I can help, but I'll try. To find out all you need to know on oral surgery, dentistry, and maxillofacial surgery in Australia (and especially Newcastle in NSW), then you should go to http://www.dentalimplantsaustralia.com. This website is rich and informative on all aspects of gum graft surgery, dental implants, wisdom teeth, costs, cheap or expensive, orthognathic surgery, post operative care, medications, pain control and the like. I hope you find some help here.
