What year? 13 in town 17 to 21 on Highway if your a lead foot like me. If you don't slow down you will use up the oil before we send it to China! Just kidding your milage will vary with how the truck is driven. I get this complaint all the time and with the customer I fill up just till the pump clicks off then pull on the freeway onramp pull smoothly onto the freeway set the automatic speed control drive 15 miles turn around and drive back at 65 miles an hour speed limit fill up at the same station same pump fill again till it clicks off about 1.6 gallons and get almost 24 miles a gallon just to show the owner what it takes to get gas milage. TRY an economy run of your own first. Many parts can wear O2 sensors exhaust emission equiptment can get old? Year and miles would be helpfull

First thing is look at the temperature gauge, should rises up to normal within a few minutes after start, and stay there no matter how fast the truck moves.AC or defroster should not be on if not needed, check engine light should not come on when running, clean up things that you don't use in the back of the truck,Those things should cut down the fuel consumption considerably.HTH
