Guys, if you were with your girlfriend for over a year and a half, and you wanted to get her something, would you ever consider a ring? I am not talking about an engagement or promise ring, just something that she can always have with her to remind her of you when you're away. And not expensive, just a simple cheap ring that has meaning.

I'm not a big jewelry person, and I really don't like necklaces or bracelets.I always wear one simple ring, simple and cheap. I would love if my boyfriend got one for me that I could always wear to remind me of how much I love him and he me. I have no thoughts of getting engaged or what not yet, that's not what I want. But if my boyfriend asked me what I wanted for Christmas or something, would it be weird to ask him for that? Or might he think I want it for something more?

Thanks guys.

I'm 21 by the way

well if he seemed weird it wouldnt hurt to just explain it to him, or casually mention maybe that you wouldnt mind a nice new ring, (display your old ring up on a finger that isnt the special one so he sees you dont mean a serious one)

maybe mention how you dont much like jewellery except for a simple ring, but just mention it all casually like you dont reeaaally care.

i doubt it would hurt to communicate it to him in just the way you communicated it here.

i got my gf a ring she wears on the middle finger. there wasnt any weirdness. it was a set with earrings tho so i guess it didnt look as "commitmentish"

maybe find one you like online and be like "oh, look at this ring, it looks so pretty, much better than the one i have here on my middle finger"

LOL, sounds corny, but you can add some finesse

In most cases it would be taken the wrong way as a promise ring or fear of loss or clingy. It typically means something more than just a gift if someone got you something like that. What a sad world that everyone has to assume people have ulterior motives. Hope I helped.

completely not awkward. think of of it as like a entire compliment that she needs u to purchase her sumthing like that, thats so cool. and if u purchase her something hawt, and u get to work out her in it, much greater effective! jus bypass with it, i completely had a saweet time procuring stuff like that for my ex. from time to time the ladies working there r hawt to which makes it grew to become into much less confusing and you will completely get excitement from the full present day procuring component. kyle

That wouldn't be wierd at all. Just tell him a simple reason why you want it.
