AA says the same thing in 'Be an example of the Big Book.' I don't know who the next newcomer is and if I have a tantrum at a hardware store because they don't have the nuts and bolts I want, what am I saying about AA if the clerk comes into his first meeting three days later and I'm in that meeting? It is attraction, not promotion. I have to conduct myself in all my affairs such as to not give AA a bad name. If your towing a bumper sticker that says you're a sober alcoholic, drive like one.

Liberation comes with recognizing that freedom necessarily involves responsibility. If you would be free, you must accept responsibility for your own actions, your own decisions. Otherwise you are dependent upon whoever does take that responsibility. When you are a child, parents take that role in order to give you time to learn. But if you would be treated like an adult, you assume an adult responsibility.

"Work out you own salvation(daily walk in sanctification),with fear and trembling".Philippians 2:12 Source of power..Grace by faith..being led by the Spirit of God,in obedience.

By questioning everything he said and only accepting it if I find it to be true and useful.
Also by taking teachings from other religions and philosophies that I find to be true and useful and using them in my search.
After all, how can I believe something to be true if I have not taken the time to carefully study its validity?
