Well, I don't know about you, but the parallels between God and the Easter Bunny/Tooth Fairy/Santa Claus were a big part of my coming around to atheism as a young teen.

If I lie to my kids about the Easter Bunny and Santa Clause; why should they believe in anything else I tell them? I tell them the truth so that they will trust me when it counts.
At least St. Nick has a basis in the Church, and that's the story I tell my kids.

I don't believe in telling children about Santa Clause or the Easter Bunny because you a lying to the child. Once the child discovers that you have lied to them about those two people it could cause them to question if you are also lying about Jesus and God. A parent should never lie to a child because it distroys their trust in you.

As a matter of fact..we did not allow our children to believe in these things. The were told that they were not real,from the time they were small. It is fun for young children to pretend about Santa clause ....but we never wanted to confuse our children about those things.
My children all know that Christmas is our celebration for the birth of our savior Jesus Christ.
Who is real and who lives!!!

santa and the easter bunny is only a device brought about to take the real meaning away from easter and christmas,,slowly but surely it has worked marvelously,wouldnt you think ?..the book everyone makes fun of,predicted this,,apostasy,,,people are just to blind to see the truth,,,,oh,the book is the Bible..

I feel so sorry for people who can't seem to grasp the concept that God is real and separate Him from make believe.
