I know this will not be liked among Jr. fans.... but Gordon and Johnson have more talent than JR. So my guess is both Gordon and Johnson end up in contention for the championship with a good chance one or the other wins and Jr's accomplishment is that he makes the chase.

Even if he finished 3rd behind Jeff and Jimmie, oh well. That's winning races, and that's competing in the chase which is more than is happening for him with DEI.
Once you get into the chase you practically start anew again. A little bad luck for each of the teams and Jr. to stay out of harms way, and he can pull it off with the equipment he has.
We saw a couple guys make it into the chase this year by only winning ONE race. One of those guys is still in serious contention. Where will Bowyer "finish" among his teammates? Nobody thought he stood a chance.

Just my opinion but here is what I see happening. If Jeff wins
his 5th cup, I think that Jr. will get the best car in the Hendrick
stable for each race. So I see Jr. leading the Hendrick group
next year and maybe even get a cup. Hendrick stands to
make good if Jr. does good, so everybody will be happy,
except for the Jr. haters.

I like jr. & I already got my #88 Mountain dew shirt from Hendrick Motorsports!!!!! I still don't think he will ever be better than 48 & 24!!!!!!! Also, he will never get our cars that Chad Knaus built!!!!

You can give him the best cars and he still will be the # 4 driver in the stable.He will get a few wins, though not many. As far as chases go, he will make a few, but not win any championships. Sorry Jr fans he is not his dad.

I'll probably end up eating my words but, I would say 4th. Only time will tell but, I just don't think he has it in him. we can only hope that he will be able to put the drama behind him and relax in the new car.
