I refuse to think of FAKE Christians and TRUE Christians. There are misLEAD Christians, but they all are True Christians.
To me, a "True" Christian is one who follows in the action of Christ instead of preaching the word. ACTIONS will be more powerful. To me, it's understanding that there is no perfect Christian and understanding that we do suck sometimes. It's looking at everyone around you and LISTENING to their story without judging. We so often get comfortable with our church that we are fine if someone beside us cheated on his wife and kids, but we aren't fine if we know that he is a addicted to heroin and gambling.
"Shouldn't the true christians try to round up and get rid of the fake christians so they will stop giving christianity a bad name?"
That's as unChristian as you can get. Love one another; don't destroy those who don't believe the same as you do.

A 'true Christian' is one who accepts/believes the words of Jesus Christ concerning Himself; ie. that "no one comes to the Father except through Me", "I am the way, the Truth and the Life", "There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved", "He who has the Son has life", etc. From the beginning (Genesis) the Scriptures say that a holy Creator can not abide *sin*, whose penalty is death. Christ paid the penalty for *sin* (death) so those who believe that He did are judically declared 'free' from it's penalty.
Some believe that a Christian is one who does what Jesus Christ said to do; however "doing" doesn't save/deliver; believing in the work of Christ, does.
No, not all 'fake' Christians know they are fake and no, it's not a Christian's responsibility to "get rid of the fake Christians".

A TRUE Christian obeys the scriptures.
Are you doing this?
(Matthew 28:19-20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU. And, look! I am with YOU all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.”
...and not just leaving it up to the so called religious leaders.

Simple: True Christians don't go around doing the stuff that is such an embarrassment to Christianity in general. God will sort them out in due time. There will be a lot of wailing and complaining among many self-styled "Christians" come Judgment.

We are not going to "round up Christians" that's a little barbaric. Some talk the talk and some walk the walk. At least if they are talking the talk they are interested in the truth and possibly just need a little direction. There's a lot better chance of getting through to them than those who wish to continually bash the Christian's belief and the almighty Christian God.

A true Christian lives as an example of what they believe. A fake Christian talks about what they believe.

A "true Christian" wouldn't be judgmental of a "fake Christian," so we can't go and "round them up," as you suggest.
It is sad that some people give Christianity a bad name. But I rejoice that MOST Christians really do work for social justice, can be reasonable and unbiased, love people with their gifts, talents and finances, and reach out in invitation and healing to a hurting world.

You know a Christian by their works (what they do) of course they make mistakes but if they condone those mistakes and don't confess that they are mistakes then they are not true Christian's. We must mortify the sin not justify it.
small example I use to say that taking the Lord's name in vain was just words no big deal now I know it is wrong and I try not to do it. When I do it I am sorry I did it. In the past before becoming a Christian I was not sorry I said it I justified it.

some human beings have self belief that with the aid of fact they stay in a "Christian" united states of america and don't openly denounce Christianity or belong to the different faith, that they are Christians. they do no longer prepare Christianity or practice it to their infants or perhaps attend church. they have by no potential made a dedication or develop right into a Christian on objective. those are people who often get labeled "pretend" Christians, people who think of they're Christians via no longer being the rest.

True Christians are the ones that love their neighbors and their enemies, and take care of the poor. Fake Christians are the ones who want to bomb the hell out of Muslims.
