All drugs must be prescription and you must have the prescription with you. Also you will most likely require a note from your doctor saying you are dependant on whatever drugs and they must be listed specifically. Aside from that, check the airlines (if you're flying in) for their limitations on what you can take with you.

All the drugs you bring must also be in their original prescribed packaging. Don't put them in daily organizers before coming to Canada - they will be siezed.

You are over thinking. Meds are simply a life saving commodity at times. Never put your meds in your checked baggage because it can be lost or stolen.

So... Carry your meds in your carry-on bags and make sure that they are in their original prescription bottles. You will never have a problem. Almost everyone carry's their meds this way. I have been on the road for over 19 months. In over 20 countries I have never been questioned once about my meds. There are a couple of exceptions to this rule and the main one is Japan. They have some odd restrictions, like on cold remedies, and they will confiscate this type of stuff. But for Canada and most of the world, No Worries mate! Most customs agents have seen so many meds that they don't even pay attention any more.

Medication:
If you are entering Canada with prescription drugs and syringes used for medical reasons, be sure to keep the medication in its original and labeled container to avoid problems. Syringes should be accompanied by a medical certificate that shows they are for medical use and should be declared to Canadian Customs officials. It may also be wise to carry with you an extra prescription from your doctor in the event your medication is lost or stolen and to attest to your need to take such prescriptions.

I take my high blood preasue meds with me when ever I travel. My doctor likes to give me a three months supply to save me running to the pharmacy each month. So far no problems with any customs, or airport security they haven't even looked at my meds.

However I do keep them in the bottles that the pharmacy gave me them in, complete with labels as a just in case and I ALWAYS put them in my carry on just in case.

Hope you enjoy your tirp.
