i'm an omnivore, i enjoy both meat and veggies simply because i eat what tastes good. I can see how health reasons may limit your eating habits but for me i don't know what i would do if i couldn't eat both meat and veggies

Well humans are naturally omnivores, that is, a balance between eating just meat and everything else.
I'm a vegan, which is a perfectly healthy choice, if you pay attention to yourself. If you almost died, then you obviously weren't making up for the lack of meat in your diet with vegan substitutes. I chose to be a vegan because it disgusts me to know we let animals be held in overstuffed cages and make them suffer by depriving them of food (look up forced molting) or testing cosmetic products on them.
Besides, how long were you an "herbivore"? I heard that after a long period of time, your body wouldn't be able to digest hardcore meat anymore.

I love the idea of being a leaf eater (haha I like the nickname) because I do hate the thought of eating something dead...ew. But I just can't seem to get by without a hamburger or juicy stake.

You can't become a vegetarian overnight. When you know how to combine food adequately, a vegetarian diet can be very healthy. You need to educate yourself and make the transition gradually. That way, you won't feel sick.

Animals are abused on farms. Hens are crammed in small cages, pigs never see the outside light, never breed fresh air etc...Despicable abuse happens in secret, we never hear about it.

I stopped supporting the flesh industry by becoming a vegetarian. There are books that explain how to become a vegetarian.

the people who do worry about health is the problem with some meat it is loaded with steroids and other junk and the organic stuff is very expensive

there are so many nutrient essentials in meat its retarded to stop eating every kind of meat there is. nature made meat so it would be eaten. people who want to stop eating it because they dont want to kill the poor animals dont get that these animals kill other animals for survival also. its just the way nature intended it. thats why they call it a food chain.
