Don't you think he did so great! Even though he didn't get the finish to show for it he proved that he could still run up front with the qualifying setup. I am really proud of him and his team for what they accomplished today!

Oh yeah, that was awesome. I was very happy for him. I was sure hoping he would end up with a top 5 for all of his efforts. He sure deserved it. The guy just has the worst luck getting caught up in wrecks every week. When he avoided the wreck at Dega I thought it was his chance to shine. I couldn't believe it when his tire went down. Just plain rotten luck. It was really fun to see him and Jr. draft again too. The way those two practically stick thier bumpers together is amazing and kinda scary at the same time! Hope Mikey has a better year next year. I also hope he does so more of those funny NAPA commercials where his "fans" are writing in. He cracks me up.

It was good to see him qualify well, wish the race could have gone better for him, it was great watching him and his former team mate Dale Jr having some fun out there. Maybe Toyota will put some funds his way next yr, so he rooty and dale jarrett even if he only drives part time have the same opportunity that JGR will have....I'm not a Toyota fan but I do like Mikey and his guys..they are cool....

Yea, I am proud of him too. He had a good car for a change and it was so good to see him running so strong. Even though they had the flat which was just luck, Mikey and the team showed they still have what it takes to run in the front. Way to go #55 team!!!

It was good to that Mary-Kay NAPA Camry up front. Michael needed a strong run to get his confidence back up. It sucks that he got into that wreck later on, but it still showed how good those Yotas can be.

You Bet!!! I was glad he got the poll and ran up front most of the day but I was bummed that he had a flat the took him out. I also hated that David was wrecked and couldn't get back up front because of the damage. It was definately an up and down day for Michael Waltrip racing but I think things are finally turning around for them!!

Mike is a great guy, and i believe that his team will turn it around next year. he gave one million dollars, of his own money, to the victory Junction gang. the reason that this amazed me, is that i used to work at wal-mart, and about 3 years ago, one of the walton sons died, and they sent a picture of him to all of the stores with a biography . this clown was worth more than 19 billion dollars, and his claim to fame on this Biogrphy, was that he got the federal government to give a million dollars to a kid's charity in arkansas. can you believe that if you went out of this life having over 19 billion dollars, and your claim to fame is that you got a million dollars of the taxpayers money donated to a charity. I know that mikey does not have that kind of money, so what he gave was a real sacrifice for his family.

Not only did he qualify well, but he stayed near the front and was challenging for the lead. He could have had a second top 10 this year if he had not had problems.

And people expected the Toyotas to blow up using a qualifying setup to race.
