By your own heritage you cannot believe that Jesus is the Messiah without believing in the virgin birth.
Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Incarnation (God becoming a man) is a mystery. There is no way two humans can produce a God. If you believe the messiah was or is to be a human being then you are not talking about incarnation and the whole purpose of a human messiah would be something other than what Jesus came to achieve. I don't believe in Immaculate conception. Mary was as much a sinner as anyone of us. That is why Joseph was not the biological father of Jesus. Only God can bring out holy from unholy.
Even if one argues, as some have passionately done, that the word translated as "virgin" in Isaiah 7:14 is incorrect, the conclusion is inescapable since the "son" is to be called "Immanuel" meaning "God with us". The belief that the Messiah was/is to be a human messiah flies in the face of this fact. No human messiah could/can be referred to as "God with us". In case people want to give a different meaning to "God with us", let me give you Isaiah 9:6 - "For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
Now tell me, which human messiah can claim these titles?
If the identity of the Messiah is still not clear then read Daniel 9:24-27. There it talks about the Messiah being "cut off" or killed and it gives the exact year in which He would be killed. For more information click on the link below.

Starting with a sidenote:
The term "Immaculate Conception" has NOTHING to do with Jesus.
God purified Mary's mother Anne so that Mary could be born without the taint of original sin on her head. Christian dogma thus says that, from the first moment of her existence, she was preserved by God from the lack of sanctifying grace that afflicts mankind, and that she was instead filled with divine grace. It is further believed that she lived a life completely free from sin. Her immaculate conception in the womb of her mother, by sexual intercourse, should not be confused with the doctrine of the virginal conception of her son Jesus.
To answer your actual question:
MANY Christians, regardless of sect, believe that Jesus was in no way the BIOLOGICAL son of God. Nearly ALL protestant sects believe this. (ie: that the "Holy Spirit" entered her body and voila: Jesus!)

Mary was the Immaculate Conception. She was born without the stain of original sin. Mary remained a vigin. The Holy Spirit passed over Mary and impregnated her.The other children spoken of were Josephs from his first marriage.
When forty years of age, Joseph married a woman called Melcha or Escha by some, Salome by others; they lived forty-nine years together and had six children, two daughters and four sons, the youngest of whom was James (the Less, "the Lord's brother"). A year after his wife's death, as the priests announced through Judea that they wished to find in the tribe of Juda a respectable man to espouse Mary, then twelve to fourteen years of age. Joseph, who was at the time ninety years old, went up to Jerusalem among the candidates; a miracle manifested the choice God had made of Joseph, and two years later the Annunciation took place.

Let me get this straight? You can believe in God but you don't think he can put a baby in Mary's tummy without her having sex?
No, there is no Christian organization that believes Jesus was not the Son of God. IF they believed that, they would not be Christian. We believe that Jesus was God in the flesh...Divine but human too....the Bible says it.
JULIA; There are many Jews who are Christians..The first people to be saved were Jews who believed in Jesus. They are not opposed to each other...Christianity is just a continuation of the Jewish religion....under Grace...no more laws to keep....

If you wish to know the truth, The Holy Spirit of God (The Messenger) will guide you...
It is written in the old testament for ages before it happen that a Messiah/ a Savior will be sent from God the Father in heaven in the house of David.
He will be born from a virgin (to exclude Him from people`s original sin - father/mother sexual conception)
Jesus conception was made by the glory & power of God, & Jesus spirit is filled by the Holy Spirit of God Himself. (not an uncommon miracle incident for the Gods as it should be done this way.)
The angel specifically name him Immanuel (God is with us people)...for specific identification.
Mary & Joseph and Jesus growing up life were guided specifically by God`s angel until He died. (To make the mission complete.)
All through life, signs and events shown & given, to mark and identify who Jesus is to guide & save the world. This is the most important point of knowledge.
Think well about what God said in the bible...than any man/leader/religion could judge a virgin lady with a God in her womb.
Do you still dare to question Jesus, The Holy Spirit, Father God?

The New Testament condemns Jesus as a fraud, an enemy of G-D, for all the prophecies he violated.
-----------
However, to directly answer your question -- the earliest Councils of the Christian Church ruled such a teaching as heretical to the core of Christianity.

Notice first that the prophecy of the virgin birth of Jesus was addressed to the entire "house of David" -- not just to a particular individual person.
Notice that God's validating *sign* of the Messiah's identity was that He (the Messiah) would be born of a VIRGIN!
Hear now, O house of David! ...The Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.
Isa 7.13a and 7.14
was used in the context of being a SIGN from God. That is, God would cause a Son to be born in such a manner that it could ONLY be a sign from God Himself.
ASK YOURSELF: Since can mean either "young woman" or "virgin," which of the following would be a sign that could ONLY come from God...
A *young woman* has a baby? OR
A *virgin* has a baby?
Hear now, O house of David! ...The Lord Himself will give you a sign:
Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.
Isa 7.13a and 7.14
Matthew 1.23 directly quotes Isaiah 7.14, and applies it to Mary's giving birth to Jesus.
The Old Testament (including Isaiah) was originally written in Hebrew. The New Testament (including Matthew) was originally written in Greek.
In translating Isaiah 7.14 to Greek, Matthew 1.23 uses -- a Greek word which uniquely means "virgin."
God's Bible includes Luke 1.31-34 and Matthew 1.25 so as to make it abundantly clear that Mary did not "know" (have sex with) Joseph or any other man prior to the birth of Jesus.
Thus, Jesus was born of a VIRGIN as God's unmistakable sign that Jesus was and is Immanuel -- GOD with us!
Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which is translated, "God with us." Mt 1.23
(The angel told Mary:) "Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS." ...Then Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, since I do not know a man?" Luke 1.31, 1.34
Joseph did not know her (Mary) till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name Jesus. Mt 1.
No amount of word analysis (or any other form of *proof*) can firmly convince everyone of the truth of God's miracles, including the virgin birth of Jesus.
FAITH is required of those who seek to come to God.
God’s plan is to confront your heart to have faith to believe His Word.
Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Heb 11.6
Brother, keep praying for God to show you truth and he will!
