I'm 16 and for the past couple days i have been passing pale yellow stool w/ little black chunks in it. I haven't been eating much yellow food lately. I have also had kindof a dry and sore throat for the past couple days too. What could be causing my pale yellow stool?

Stools that are clay, pale, or putty colored. are also called alcholic stools.

Bile salts in the stool excreted by the liver give it a normal brown color. Obstruction to bile flow out of the liver (you may see the word "cholestasis"), or liver infections like viral hepatitis (A, B, C, etc.), may produce clay colored stools. or alcholic stools.

Common Causes
Possible causes for clay colored stool result from problems in the biliary system (the drainage system of the gallbladder, liver, and pancreas):

Cancer or benign tumors
Strictures (narrowings)
Congenital anatomic problems (present at birth)
Gallstones
Cysts
Medications such as vitamins and supplements
Sclerosing cholangitis
Biliary cirrhosis
Protein or infectious infiltration
Alcoholic hepatitis
Viral hepatitis (A,B,C, etc.)
The underlying cause needs to be investigated

I wouldn't be too concerned unless accompanied by the following:

Clay colored or pale stools are observed. Also, if dark (bloody looking) urine occurs, or jaundice (a yellowish discoloration of the skin and eyeballs) appears, your health care provider should be contacted. If possible, a stool specimen should be taken to the doctor's office.

In your case, I would suspect stomach flu, diarrhea, or Hepatitis A or B as you have the following symptoms

Flu-like warning symptoms (called a prodrome) - your dry sore throat- often appear about 3 to 10 days before liver symptoms arrive. Symptoms are low-grade fever, muscle aches, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, and fatigue. Smokers may find they suddenly dislike smoking. In HBV, these symptoms may be accompanied by joint pains and skin eruptions resembling urticaria (hives).

After this, the urine may darken, and jaundice may appear. In jaundice, the skin and the whites of the eyes take on a yellow tint. The inflamed liver is not able to perform its usual metabolic functions so that a substance called bilirubin (a byproduct from old red blood cells that also causes bile to be yellow) builds up in the body. Bile is a fluid secreted by the liver that contains cholesterol, bile salts, and waste products such as bilirubin. The pale, yellowish colored stools are due to the bilirrubin, indicating that a full digestion hasn't occurred.

The blood chunks are probably due to blood or lots of vegetable fibers that you might have consumed.

Hello, Yellow stool is generally not a symptom of a UTI. It is possible that your diagnosis could be wrong, but I would not jump to any conclusions. Go back to your healthcare provider and they will probably have you give a stool sample. There's a few things it could be, fat not being absorbed correctly, not enough bile coming from your liver, intestinal infection, etc.

Have you been taking a medication or supplement that prevents fat absorbtion? That could be it, especially if they're floaters. The fat isn't absorbed and passes on down the line.
If you haven't been taking such medicine, you might want to see a Doctor about a lack of Lactase. If it isn't that, I'm not sure what to tell you other than see a Doctor.

there must something wrong in your system. it is possible that there is a blockage. chromogens like urobilinogen and stercobilinogen are responsible for the brown color of the stool, those are products of bilirubin breakdown and formed upon oxidation of bacteria. possible organ with a problem is liver, or there may be a blockage in bile duct thats why bilirubin wasn't able to pass.

That sounds pretty abnormal... See your doctor. They may need to take a stool sample to see what is wrong.
