Media reports of the day listed the COMMUNIST PLA woes of the early 1990's due to COMMUNISM'S historically proven failed economics and a nearly bankrupt central government. Boots for every other soldier, guns for half their men with only 5 BULLETS PER GUN, no real navy and precious little effective air forces. Command was antiquated as were communications, nuclear capacity and field armor with moral was tanked due to nonpayment of salaries throughout the conscripted service of the P.L.A. The student uprising of 1989 by unarmed citizens seeking FREEDOM nearly defeated the PLA but was repelled with an excess of 10000 MURDERED students in the streets of China's capital. Point is, the people nearly won. 1994 saw the realization of the dream of capitalizing from tyranny while undermining freedom and avoiding living wages by a small group of Arkansas traitors when Clinton, acting as a WMT lawyer while President of the USA, extended "favored nation" trading status to the enemy of freedom

People power is the only solution to force the government of China to give more rights to its people. There must be a charismatic leader who must surface to voice the opinion of the people who must give support to attain what they want.

I'm trying to figure out your question.

Nevertheless, you are terribly misinformed.

Here is what I wrote about China in another answer.

================

1 They are not communist country which is the polar opposite of capitalism, which they are. They are communist in name only.

2 They have given their people more freedom in the last few decades then ever before in their 5,000 year history.

3 They are actively correcting the problems with bad and dangerous products.

4. They are actively correcting the problems with their pollution which they have said is terrible.

5. They are reforming their judicial system

6. They are slowly morphing into a democratic republic at their own pace, not the pace the west wants.

7. They are not likely to repeat their mistakes. They are too old and wise for that.

8. They are an extremely positive.

9. They believe in a countries right to self determination and has made a pledge to the Chinese people they will not invade a sovereign country. The USA has made no such pledge in both regards. They believe in diplomatic solutions rather then negativism and threats.

10. Unlike the USA, they plan for the future through a series of one and five year plans. That has proven to be a success because in the last 20 years they went from an economic joke to world class to very likely the most powerful economy in the future.

Peace

What exactly is the question? You just pretty much told about how China killed 10,000 students for protesting.

You answered your own question... students alone have no chance. The overthrow of any govt takes a majority of the populace...
