At my school, there are alot of atheists and an atheist club, and almost all of them have the same sideburns and beard all over thier face. it's weird. is that part of their beliefs?

maybe its just the guys at my school...I was just wonder if the beards had anything to do with religion

Yeah, it's very fashionable now. I actually add fake sideburns and beards before I leave the house.
Of course, it all comes from the Atheistic Rules, our book with all our beliefs and rules in it. It says we have to have sideburns and beards, otherwise we're not real, faithful atheists.

I think it's just your school maybe? I guess I have sideburns in that my hair isn't trimmed to the top of my ear, but I don't look like Elvis or anything.

Free thinkers by their nature tend to be more individualistic,
the clean cut nerdy look its not their thing!
I lived in countries where any deviation from the norm was considered a treat...(you could be imprisoned, tortured, and killed just for that) in the 60 and early 70... hippies lifestyle was such a breath fresh air! that it was welcomed by most free thinking individuals. I guess Atheists fall mostly in that category, even if they are not radical activists.

Never met a single atheist with either of those things. My husband does have a goatee to hid a scar. Does that count?
edit: atheist isn't a religion. it's a lack of religion. There IS a difference.

If its at a school I suppose its just that the freethinkers like to look like hippies with a bit of facial hair. This is correlation, not causation.

Male atheists have beards even at school because they are very masculine - a kind of super-male, if you will.

um no. that may be social style of that particular click. but atheists run the fashion gamut from trashy overweight rednecks to refined suit and tie types.
