The Amazon and Maternals aspects of Artemis are both represented, as well as others, as the Original Virgin, the High Priestess of the Tarot, or the direct union between the Soul and the Godhead.

Nope but I am Norse Heathen Recon. Now if you want to talk about Freyja, I'm your girl. ;)
Hail the Gods!

Fenris wasn't totally evil though. If you read the lore he was "misunderstood" type thing. Tyr showed his kindness and knew the choice he was making when he placed his hand in Fenris's mouth. Odin brought Fenris to Asgard but no one wanted anything to do with him but Tyr. Now it can be argued that Fenris betrayed Tyr....but it can argued that Tyr betrayed Fenris....and I'll stop because I can go for hours like this. ROTFL
Needless to say yes I am familiar with the Norse Lore. Hehe

There are many Pagans on this forum.

I worship Artemis as ONE of the Hellenic Gods. She is not my primary Goddess however. If you get in touch with the following 2 Yahoo! Groups you will be able to contact many other Artemisean followers.....

And, for the record, I have no problem with a man worshipping Artemis and disagree with the more radical interpretations of Her being strictly a Goddess for Women or even the interpretations of Her being a lesbian.....

Worshipping this? The Greek Artemis was a virgin goddess of hunting and childbirth. The Ephesian Artemis was a fertility goddess. Her huge temple at Ephesus was considered one of the seven wonders of the world. Her statue, thought to have fallen from heaven, represented her as a personification of fertility, her chest being covered with rows of egg-shaped breasts. The peculiar shape of these breasts has given rise to various explanations, such as that they represent garlands of eggs or even bulls’ testicles.
Yikes.

Hi

Not Artemis herself but I do recognize her. I beleive in spirits and both gods and goddesses but it is not the Greek or any standard set, I am Native American and I accept that every ones God, Gods or Goddesses are real or at least real to them and respect them all even if its not mine.

thats cool what you did. good luck with it!

(~Daughter~ - you would be happy to know my Nic is Fenris. I used to use Fenris Wulf as my name here but I changed it to just wolf but it is short for Fenris Wolf. All my user names are pretty much Fenris.

YES I know he was bad and ate Odin and Thor had to kill him but i like the name a lot and though not a worshiper of the Viking way I do recognize freya and the others and find them as the hellenistic and all others fascinting. Even Christianity, Judaism and Islam is fascinating to study. glad to see there is some one familar with the Norse traditions!!

There are many Pagans out here. While I don't deal with Artemis specifically, she is often spoken of in ritual by my teacher.

Im wiccan, I have called upon Artemas in ritual before but she is not my patron Goddess.

My teacher Aviana, is also on here, but she was told she could not answer anymore questions tonight she had reached her limit. So she is now playing runescape with my little brother.

(I guess you have guessed she is my mom.)
