...were really fat. Now it could be that they have some medical condition, but I suspect many of them were gluttons.

Why isn't gayness considered something that can't be helped like those who put on a lot of weight easily?

And why isn't gluttony considered in the same light as other sins? It does a lot of harm to the body and harm to the self esteem. I'm sure God is as concerned about that as he is what people do in their sex lives.

Gluttony as a sin is kind of a Catholic thing, however the bible does tell us to take care of our "temple" With that said, youre right. A sin is a sin in Gods eyes. It is human beings who like levels of good and levels of bad. Homosexuality is made out to be the poster child for sin which is wrong.

It is a difference in degree of sin. Afterall it says, "Food for the stomach and the stomach for food"— but God will destroy them both. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body." 1Co 6:13

Sexual immorality (like homosexuality) is more depraved than gluttony in that it is an unnatural use of the body.

Amen!

sin is sin in the eyes of God. it's all equal. yes, gluttony is a sin and America has a huge issue with fast food, self control and weight management issues. the ones who judge others are so busying trying to get after everyone else they are not focusing on what they need to fix within themselves. it's easier to point the finger at someone else.

Sin is sin, that is true, you seem angry.

The real question is, Why do people put different values on different sins when the bible says, " 1 John 3:4 - Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law."?

Well, sin is sin, but homosexuality is one sin, God called an abomination...the other was pride. All sin will keep you from going to Heaven. So stop them all...how about that? Do you think by pointing out others sins, you are somehow absolved from yours?

Actually Jesus said he was okay with queers, so the people on that TV show we way out of line.

Jesus said "By their fruits ye shall know them" and he meant it in a nice way. It was a little hint that fruits and queers and homos are people just like everybody else.

As for gluttony, that is a whole different situation. My understanding is that gluttony is something you can choose, and you also can choose not to do it.

If your looking for people to be perfect before they can express Gods word then we ARE ALL DOOMED! The enemy of our soul just loves this kind of debate, because no one wins (except him).

Its not who says what that is judged, but "does this truth apply to me"!

Wisdom applies this truth "What is in my heart towards this comment that causes me to have this response"

You will find hypocrites in Banks, in sports, in Churches and on the internet. Why? because we are human, but we are still made in HIS image, and when we criticize mankind, we criticize God.
