does it ever make you stop and think? Do you really see other people's points of views on why they have a distaste for Christianity? Or do you simply go on the defense and wish them to hell?
This is not for all Christians. I know several that completly understand why people are frusterated with Christianity. I speak to those who scream "persecution" in one breath and then wish you to hell in the other.

I can completely understand why people become frustrated with organized religion, especially Christianity. I know, because I get pretty frustrated it with it myself.

I'm not arrogant enough to say that I know everything about Christianity, or what Jesus intended to come out of his teachings, but I feel like I'm intelligent enough to clearly see that some of things that Christians say and do were certainly NOT part of his intentions.

And I get tired of being told by those who are supposed to be my brothers and sisters that I'm not really one of them just because we don't agree on everything.

No I would not feel persecuted because I am not being physically harmed by anyone it is just thier opinion and I respect peoples opinion. The reason why other people have a distate towards christianity is because christianity is being distorted all day long by preachers, and churches. Today christianity is in a dilema because of media and people who don't understand the word of God or have not read the word of God. People believe everything they hear now and days and never consider to even take the time to do research or go the extra mile for the truth. Scripture tells us we should neve get into fights or qurrels with anyone just because they have a different opinion. We as christians should never wish anyone to hell, the truth is God is the only one who can convict someones heart we are just witness for christ it is not our jobs to convince anyone that is the Holly Spirits job. We should have a concern for people who are lost and should pray for the lost everyday.

I see persecution of Christians and I also see persecution by proclaimed Christians. I would never wish anyone to Hell nor should anyone else. I do see how some would get the incorrect idea about Christianity, but I hope that there are enough Christians out there that really want to follow the ways of Christ. It is a real shame that some make such a poor portrayal of Christianity. Mostly it comes from a lack of understanding of what Christianity is about, this said about those who proclaim it as well. Some have just been raised in it and take it as a name without actually digging in and knowing Christ and what it is he wants to do. That is why it is not enough to just say it, you must KNOW Christ and LIVE it daily, not just on Sunday. Christ loves all and wants all to come to him, not wishing any to depart from him.

many people persecute christians because they do different than what they preach. I personally dont feel persecuted when I read things like that, cause I know they just havent found Christ yet. The main reason I think that people persecute christians is because of the beliefs of cathloics. I'm not saying that their all wrong, but does it say that if you die with even one sin that you go to hell in the Bible? Dont think so. People are just turned away with all the false stuff that is forced upon them, and thats the only view they ever get of christians. I'm non-denominational, which is just whatever is in the Bible is what I believe, nothing more.

Hey Daughter
Over the years, because of much failure and being dealt with by the Lord for different kinds of pride I think the Lord has really shown me one thing regarding most things that I see on here. " It could have been me"
We see people posting things that may offend others, some people do it to irritate others but some do it because its how they genuinely feel about Christians.

I do not know where anyone is at in their lives when they answer anything on here. Only the Lord is the true Judge of the hearts of men and women.

But for me, just stopping to realize that any understanding or any appreciation for God and for being a Christian is altogether GOD'S MERCY. To point and say " Good riddens.. U'll get what u deserve in Hell " truly does not match the Savior who died for these very ones, and Who resides in us as christians.

I appreciate a verse in Philippians 4 which says
" Let your forbearance be made known to all men.. the Lord is near"

The Lord is near and able to supply us with His forbearance toward all persons and situations. Its up to us to cooperate with Him and Take HIM as our way to deal wit these situations that will annoy.. offend.. hurt.. repulse and break us.

I personally have a loooooooooong way to go in this matter but the Lord is merciful to keep bringing His thoughts of mercy and grace about myself and maybe I could have been the one offending and saying things here that others will hate me for.

Good Q

I'm honestly surprised you haven't received any yet that have gone on a rant about how unfair the minority in the US is towards Christianity and that they are being "persecuted". If they do feel persecuted, they should go live somewhere where it's illegal to be anything other than that countries Legal Religion and go preach in the streets. THEN they can say they're persecuted.

I don't feel persecuted on the boards. I read people's thoughts and opinions and respect them. I don't agree with a lot of what people say, but I respect it and try to see where it's coming from.
Your comment, "Or do you simply go on the defense and wish them to Hell?" I think that's what a lot of Christians on here do. Yes it's true that people who don't believe in Jesus aren't going to heaven because Jesus is the only way, but I'd rather convince them to come to Jesus in love and not in fear.
We have a lot of guest speakers at our school who used to mock christians and now believe. They explain why people may not believe us and call us stupid. Whenever I tell someone that I go to a christian school, I don't know the reaction. I get "Oh, cool..." a lot. Sometimes I get strage looks, and sometimes I get people asking questions about it. Different people have different reactions to christianity and we have to accept them.

If i'm no longer unsuitable (which I probable am cuz i'm Buddhist and don't understand toooo plenty approximately christians) i think of that component of their faith demands them to be the minority. hear me out... Many Christians have self belief that during uncomplicated terms a definite style of folk would be incredibly stored Christians interior the tip. additionally there is dissimilar stuff interior the Bible that prepares christians that folk will reject their concepts. they're meant to hold the word of god to those that have not been uncovered to it... and incredibly everyone has... i do no longer think of the Bible takes into consideration that this is reader would desire to be residing in an completely Christian society... oops.... So if no person is objecting - and that they are advantageous to prepare as they see in advantageous condition... it might desire to actual lead them to a sprint apprehensive. i comprehend it could make me a sprint uncomfortable, if i became into taught that the greater human beings argue with me, the greater top i'd desire to be... and then no one even bats an eyelash... i could experience like I heavily tousled someplace if that became into me. So perhaps they simply experience greater gentle in "assuming" that they are persecuted purely like the bible pronounced they could be. In turn, it turns right into a self-friendly prophesy for them... purely look at this question... it might desire to reek of persecution to a christian.

Threefold answer--

I think there are some people who hate Christians, whatever the reason-

Christians simply must begin to be led anew by the Holy Spirit and be the church that we are meant to be--that is, being Christ in flesh for the hurting world--

and, I think it is wrong to wish anyone to hell, because Jesus didn't want anyone to go to hell... he loved these people so much that he was willing to come and walk among humans on earth, and die for their sakes.
