oh jeesh i thinks it's faster to go to the store. I'm going for wine can i get you some baking powder? ice cream???

HOMEMADE SUBSTITUTE FOR BAKING POWDER

2 tbsp. cream of tartar
1 tbsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. cornstarch

Sift together. Store in airtight container. One teaspoon of this is equal to 1 teaspoon store bought baking powder.

for one tsp of baking powder you use: 1/4 tsp baking soda and 1/2 tsp cream of tartar

well if your baking, you cannot substitute ingredients..thats the most important rule in baking..it has to be exact! so you have to go to the supermarket and buy baking powder!
