Why wouldn’t students feel secure with guns @ campus....knowing that their peers have gone trough training and a bureaucratic process?
Could it make them feel secure?

Because most students aren't mature enough to carry guns. Just look at all the stuff that goes on at college campuses these days: excessive drinking, drug use, wild fraternity parties, and so on. Do you think that throwing guns into the mix would be a good idea?

Gee we could have given the wacko at VT training? Boy, then he might have killed a few more people.

Yep...training and bureaucratic process - that's gonna stop gun violence.

Just what the world needs - a bunch of hung over college kids with handguns.

How about the only folks on campus with guns are the campus police.

If I found out the school I was going to allowed guns, I would not attend it any longer. There are too many school shootings, and I'm a paranoid person in general. The risk of allowing guns on campus is too high, because there are incidents like what happened at Virginia Tech not too horribly long ago. There are some policeman who I wouldn't even trust with a gun, and I don't think I have to explain that one.

Because most people are idiots and kids are evn worse. I am 25 and wouldn't want a lot the people I see around my age walking around w/ guns. Some would be fine, but alot of college kids are about 13 emotionally and act like it.
