It will cost you some money, but please do go to a color specialist and have it corrected professionally.
Most of the options out there will wreck your hair and it's just not worth it.

Ouch!!!! The slight red tint you mention is what is going to make going blonde again a real pain. Don't even try this on your own. Because of the reddish tones, any stripper is going to make your hair look muddy orangey brown. Go to the salon and let the pro try to match your roots (be warned, it may not be possible - you might have to settle for a dark blonde color).

Some people have already said this, but,
you can get a salon to strip your hair, which will cause damage.
or there are some stripping shampoos out there, at certain salons, but they dont work too well.
if you decide to bleach it, find some Violet hair toner, because it WILL turn out orange, and if you use the toner, it will neutralize the orange and it will go blonde, instead.
just ask your local pharmacy about the toner, or they could have it in salons, im not sure.

you can buy a color stripper...it is supposed to take all artificial color out of your hair, it might not end up perfect, but if it doesn't work out try dying it blonde once you take the color out and it should turn out looking natural

sorry kid...i can only urge you to head to a salon, with a good stylist, not just a person who cuts hair at say, super cuts, or any of the national discount salon chains. our hair is our flag, our sign to the world of who we are and whether we take care of ourselves and have any self-respect...if we show that we are well groomed and have a "finished" look about us, we are less likely to be taken advantage of and/or disrespected. i know that sounds a little deep, but trust me, this really IS the way the world works. go go go go go!!! hit a good salon. if you lived in southeastern michigan i would refer you to my stylist. he's an artist. look at the expense as an investment in your future. hope this helped you!!! --blessed be

Dye it back to a color that is close to your natural color, then when the roots come in,you won't notice until it's all back to normal. I had to do that once. Good luck.

you would have to go to beauty store and ask for the supplies to strip the color from the hair and start over, it will cause alot of damage though.
