Yes the old covenant law but now we are under teh new covenant of Jesus

Why Jesus died For Us

He is our sacrificial lamb who shed his blood to cover your sins: past, present and future. If not he died at the cross in vain. He full filled (Luke 24: 44) and nailed the 10 commandments to the cross (Colossi ans 2:14). Christ did not die in vain (Galatians 2: 21). The spirit or the works of the law (Galatians 3: 2). Christ is the end of the law (Romans 10: 4). The law is our tutor no more (Galatians 3: 24 – 25). God will remember your sins no more (Hebrews 10:17). You are a sinner for life, there is nothing that you can do not to sin (1 john 1: 7 - 10). You can not go out into the world and do what ever you wish, just because Jesus covered your sins (Romans 6: 1 - 3). Hebrews 8: 7 – 13 (he wrote the laws into their hearts, so that you would know right from wrong.

If you have faith in Jesus and are obedient to God, then you are not under the 10 commandments.

If you do not believe in Jesus, then you are under the 10 commandments, now you need to bring your unblemished goat to the alter every year and sacrifice it to cover your sins but with Jesus, he is our new covenant.

You are justified by faith and not of your works

The many points of the Mosaic Law don't apply under the New Covenant. But, when Jesus was asked what one must do to be saved, the first thing He said was "obey the Commandments". The Ten Commandments do apply, and that's Old Testament.

Of course they do. Its like saying truth ended when Christ arrived. Jesus himself (living truth) said he came to fulfill the law of the Old Testament.

Many Christians live on sermons and cultural doctrine rather than the totality of Gods word and Spirit's leading. You use the word persecution instead of opinion. If someone doesn't like what is said of their lifestyle, I don't call that persecution. Human nature defends its behaviour. Good or bad. Thats why Gods word is essential for Godly behaviour.

I don't know who told you that the OT no longer applies to us.. Jesus said not even part of one word would be removed from the Law until everything is fulfilled Matt 5:18.. We are subject to the whole of the Law. Since you know you haven't kept it that should show you your need for Jesus..... That's what the Law is for in the Church age.. IHS Jim

WHAT!!!! OLD TESTAMENT LAWS DID NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH CHRISTIANS "PERSUCUTING" NON-CHRISTIANS!!!!! AS A MATTER OF FACT IF YOU HAD READ HISTORY YOU WOULD KNOW THAT OLD TESTAMENT JEWS (and may I remind you that the first christians where the same ethnicity as many of the people they helped persucute) HELPED BRING ABOUT THE PERSICUTION THAT THE CHRISTIANS ENDURED AT THE HANDS OF THE ROMANS BECAUSE OF THEIR MIS- INTERPRITATION OF THE OT. and since when did christians persucute non-christians

There are two was to heaven. Keep the OT law and live a sinless, perfect life or by the grace of God as shown in the NT.

I agree with whoever said that the OT laws still apply. Jesus only added to them, and therefore altered them only a little (as in changing "eye for eye, tooth for tooth" law). We don't need to sacrifice animals because Jesus became our sacrifice for all times.

Mt 5:17 - "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill."

Mt 5:18 - "For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled."

-------------------
Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free,* and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. Indeed I, Paul, say to you that if you become circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing. And I testify again to every man who becomes circumcised that he is a debtor to keep the whole law. You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace. For we through the Spirit eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love. You ran well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth? This persuasion does not come from Him who calls you. A little leaven leavens the whole lump. I have confidence in you, in the Lord, that you will have no other mind; but he who troubles you shall bear his judgment, whoever he is. And I, brethren, if I still preach circumcision, why do I still suffer persecution? Then the offense of the cross has ceased. I could wish that those who trouble you would even cut themselves off!

For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another! I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another. ~Galatians 5~

I think that the act of homosexuality is what the Lord condemns and if we love Him we will understand and comply with this commandment of the Father. We are commanded to love the Father with all our heart, mind, and soul. This act is considered sinful and an abomination to the Lord and should be prayed for all that are afflicted with homosexual desires to freed of them or given the power of the Lord to endure God's will.

God Bless You

Yes, any of the Jewish laws that involve sacrificing an animal no longer workrs because Jesus Christ took the punishment of sin onto him.
