Twice.

Last night at the church where I belong, a non-denominational church, and this morning at the church where I work.

Yes, indeed, I went to 8 a.m. Mass and it was a bilingual Mass, both Spanish and English, because the Bishop came to our parish today to unveil and bless a new crucifix for the altar.

The 8 a.m. Sunday Mass at my parish is usually just in Spanish so it was nice to have it be in both languages today. Although I'm sure the people who are not bilingual might have found it confusing.

I consider myself more of a spiritual person than religious and probably haven't been diligent enough about going to Mass on Sunday but, since my Dad died last year, I've been taking Mom (who does not drive) and it's a good way to start out the week.

As for AnArdRi's comment, I was also in a theater and bookshop this weekend but it's been at least a week since I've been in a library since I usually buy the books I really want and don't just check them out of the library.

yes, this morning, I stood in my bedroom, over my altar, with my prayer beads and did a devotion to my Goddess

I will do this again tonight as well.

But I dont only do this on sunday, Wiccans do this every day of the week. We also celebrate 8 times a year called Sabbats, and then we do esbats twice a month as well. Sometimes we worship three times a month, plus twice or more a day.

We do devotions at each meal, twice a day and we meditate on our deities too.

Boy for a Godless people we spend alot of time in worship of our deities...more then just Sundays.

And we dont just kneel down a say words! We light candles and incense, we use water and other things. We have prayer beads too. We dont use the words written by others. We write words from our own hearts! It is in our training to do so.

So yes, I will have attended a 'house of worship twice today, and if you count my daily meditation on the Goddess three times. In one day...what will you be doing tomorrow? I will be at my altar tomorrow doing it all over again. Will you be in your church?

No, because almost noone understands that the reason religion came about in the first place was to counter-balance our otherwise barbaric, animal-like behavior. Forgetting this has led nearly every one of us to go off on obscure tangents simply in order to seek comfort in something which is supposed to be unchanging in every way, but which really is not. Unitarianism and the like, unofficially (in my opinion) arose to counter-balance the effects of the worst features of conventional religion. The saying "We are one" started out this way, and it too was co-opted to serve as an absolute of sorts--again, for our comfort. This is obviously not life, any more than animal-like barbarism or the dogmatism and exclusivity of conventional religion are. Is there anyone at all who understands this any more?

The Prayer house that I am allowed to use, and the prayer mat that I am allowed to use, is within this old heart.
I have been informed that "God" is within me. This is where my worship shall always take place. I'm following in some wonderful footsteps! I was told at an early age that I must follow him, and this I shall do until my last breath!

Definetly, I always feel like something is missing for the next week if I do not go and receive communion.
I hope that anyone reading this has gone to church this week and served the lord.

Actually I did. I take my kids to a UU church for an "organized" feel and so they can say they go to a church if someone asks them (I live in the South. Trust me. It's important) but I do most of my specific faith with other OF my faith and no we don't have a "house of worship"
