when applying for these jobs you do the written test(which i passed already) then the phyical part where you pass doing push up and sit up ect...... then i know there is a "pys" test and ect......
where and when do they do the drug test part?
is it during the phyical? is is after?
is it after the "pys" test?please only real answer. do dumb answers like "dont do drugs".

i ask for no dumb answers and dumb answers is what i got.I been in the military,doing my full time with no problems,and one tour in iraq so being a police officer is something i want to do. NO i dont want to be a "doper" and i think its dumb to tell someone to drop their standard. passing a drug test is easy unless they do a hair test and there is ways to pass that too(like TIME). now i dont know bout taking a lie detector test,never took one before but i hear that you can pass it.all about your heart rate.so please answer the question.of course not to do drugs would be the answer but this is not the case. i dont think ppl should be so judgemental toward people like me. ok, i smoke weed, so i cant choose to be an officer. it doesnt make me any less of a man. i been to iraq and isnt scare to go back and would. and just cause someone smoke weed, they should to just do it forever, they cant want better for them self?
its what i want to do and it is what i am......forever military minde

I don't believe they drug test cops. Because they wouldn't have any cops if they did. ;)

Yes they do drug test police applicants and most police agencies do randoms all the time. So how about this? You cannot even spell piss so that must have been a dandy written test that you took. THC from weed can be detected as long as six months after use. If you can't stop using long enough to get the job how will you do the job, or go through the training. Wow, this is a fat *** crooked cop in the making. How about just dealing drugs on the street instead wanting to do it from a cruiser? Most cops don't do drugs but can spot people who do and once you are busted as a cop or CO you jail penalties will be multiplied. Dude, just be a doper its much easier.

If you are a doper, it will come out in the background and polygraph. Even if you manage to pass the drug test (which I am betting you won't) you still won't get hired.
Every department will do it differently. Call and ask the background investigator...make sure to leave your name.

If you are worried about a drug test then the criminal justice field isn't for you.
