Everything a church teaches I scrutinize carefully and if the doctrines they teach are in accordance and harmony with the Word of God then I believe it. I choose what to believe based upon the Word of God, the Word of God is the only thing that I listen to and trust with regards to theology.
The reason why I put so much faith and trust in the Bible is because I have become convinced through careful study that it is divine in its origin and can be fully trusted.

We are to accept the bible as the authority of the Word of God. Jesus told the pharisees,'You make void the word of God by your traditions'. Men's traditions make void the authority of God's Word in your life. Doctrine's of theology should be tested against the Word of God to determine their validity. Most churches will not want to change their doctrines when told they do not agree with the bible. Jesus had the same problem. Many religious leaders did not want to change their ways when Jesus appeared on earth. They were not teachable. For this reason I have switched to a bible teaching church. We may have differences, but we agree that the Word of God is the final authority.

The ones of us who have really wanted to know God for who He is without all the bs surrounding church doctrine and such, have realized that we have to study for ourselves and not let someone else dictate to us what to think. I have been to many churches and eventually found that they were not even vaguely similar to the church Jesus described while He was on Earth. He did not want the division, the infighting, the holier than thou stuff. He wanted us all to realize our humanity and then try to raise it above that base nature that only lives to satisfly the desires of the flesh. Everybody likes that even the most devout believer but we also realize that we have limitations on that and can't allow it to become our god. I chose what to believe when I pleaded with God to show Himself to me and He has been doing that ever since. He lets me know how He is and that is much better and more trustworthy than evil men who prostitute God for their own gain.

At it's simplist level that means:
1) Accept that God is
2) Accept that the Bible is the word of God revealed
3) Accept that Jesus is the son of God, who died for our sins.

Fully accept? I like the people I go to church with. I like the potlucks. I like the work we do in the community.

I'll just leave it at that. I'm comfortable in this here closet.

Been to them all, and found them all quite ignorant.
Repeating Law is Law Law. Grace is not Law Law.
What the Spirit saith is "unto the churches" x 7 in Rev,
And the only book written "unto the churches" is Galatians.

Problem is, none of them can see it, what with the veil;
So I found it best to get out of the churches altogether,
in accordance with "come out from among them", and
'from such[high-minded & un-holy] turn away": 2Tim 3.
I've been practising "grace is sufficient" ever since, and
I've found grace is sufficient, but their grace + law wasn't.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

I don't follow any particular church doctrine..I got in there and studied and figured out for myself, what to believe. I believe in the infilling of the Holy Spirit as essential for salvation. Why? Because it happened to me so I know it is for today. I speak with tongues,,,so even though you may told it is not for today by your church,,,you need to check this out for yourself in the book of Acts....there are errors being taught in a lot of churches. You have to work it out for yourself...don't depend on a preacher...listen to all of them but take what you believe and check it out with scripture...always double check any doctrine.

I follow the Bible.

I've never seen a church organization yet whose "theology" was perfect.

We can't choose on our own what to believe! The holy sprit
is the real teacher of faith, only thru him can we believe what we believe in truth.

I always ask the Holy Spirit to show me what is the truth and what is not. Then I accept it.

When I was a Catholic, I couldn't seem to bring myself to agree with virtually any of it.
