And if their response is small all are invited to answer this question. Where in scripture are we instructed to leave the Jews alone. And what was the reason / justification for that instruction. Atheists, I am not asking you to believe in the scripture, I am just asking you to put your intelligence to the task. No mocking or inflamatory answers please. Whether the scripture is right or wrong (or fairy tale (ish), lol) what scenario is it pointing to?

Win Nobel, actually my reason for asking Atheists this question is just the opposite of what you suggest. I am sure this is really no secret. But the scripture I was refering to is in Mathew chapter 13 verses 27 thru 30. The harvest is the end times which we are already in.
The weeds / tares are not the Jews as a whole. Only a certain sect/core of jews spoken of in revelations concerning the churches of Smirna and Philedelphia. And only God/ Christ can tell the difference. That is why He says to let him deal with them. That way a real Jew is not killed by mistake by us.
BTW I commend the atheists in their relatively calm demeanor in answering this question. Thanks all !!!

N H BARITONE, IT IS WRITTEN THAT IN THE END TIMES THAT THE NATIONS WILL MAKE WAR WITH THE NATION OF THE JEWS . AND THEIR EXCUSE WILL BE BECAUSE THEY WERE THE ONES THAT INSTIGATED THE CRUCIFYING OF CHRIST. CHRIST IS SAYING DONT GET INVOLVED BECAUSE HE WILL TAKE CARE OF THAT SECT OF JEWS IN THE END.

JP Christ's follower were to go only to the Jews that believed Christ was he Messiah of prophesy. And to teach them further. Paul shook his coat at the jews who refused to believe Christ was the messiah. These are the sect of Jews I keep refering to. That is why we are not to give our best to those who won't hear of it. It never meant to preach only to the jews. It meant to go to only (those) Jews . That would believe Christ was the messiah. If you don't agree with this, I am an easy person to find.

The point in scripture where Christians are instructed to leave Jews alone? I have no idea. Many points in the OT seem to refer to god's chosen people as the Gentiles, which I assumed meant the Jews, as their religion influenced much of what is found in the Bible (Islam, Christianity, and Judaism are considered Abrahamic religions).
I do have a fundamentalist Chrsitian parent who does not wish for me (as an atheist) to date Christians, based on a passage she read in the bible that says "Gentiles should not mix with non-Gentiles," and the non-believers should not even be introduced at the door. Unfortunately, she still buys into this to the exclusion of others.
As you know, just because the Bible says something, doesn't mean it is correct. I think it's wrong to harass people for not sharing the same religious views as anyone else. Anti-Semites killed 6 million Jews in the Holocaust, and this hatred proliferates in the Middle East.

The poster is asking the question in an attempt to show atheists don't know the bible as well as some have claimed... Christians were not asked because the reference is so obscure, it would show they don't know the bible that well either.
As to the question, Romans 11:17 says, "And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree."
This is probably the scripture that bible scholars most often attribute to why Christians should accept the Jews. Because the two religions are intertwined.

As it happens, in the Great Commisioning, Jesus is absolutely clear that his followers are to go ONLY to the Jews. This held until Saul of Tarsus (aka Paul) was accused of being a liar in Acts. At this, he shook his coat (instead of his sandals, as Jesus commanded) and said that since the Jews would not receive him, that he would go to the Gentiles.
Had Jesus's teachings been followed, there would be no Gentile Christians.
Of course, this poses a problem for Christianity. Paul was unable to convince Jews about their own prophecies. Only by going to those who were not intimately familiar from birth with the prophecies was Paul able to gain converts. For someone allegedly hand-chosen by Jesus, this poses some serious credibility issues.

Given that much of the OT has the god helping the Jews destroy other cultures, it actually seems inherent in the bible that your fictitious supernatural being gives the impression of protecting the Jews. To not do this would go against believing that the word of the bible is the word of your deity.
But- it's hard to ask this question of atheists, who don't profess to believe that those old books are anything more than old books.

This question makes no sense. Can you give some background or something? "Where in scripture are we instructed to leave the Jews alone?" I'm afraid to ask, but how do you think you are supposed to treat Jews?

Are you asking this as an Atheist or as a Christian?
All I can say, as in Atheist I'm not bound by any scripture in the bible.
The bible is a book - nothing more, nothing less.

1. Kindly clarify. "Leave the Jews alone"? (I'll answer more fully then.) I majored in Religion and attended Seminary, and I don't recognize this obscure reference.
2. What reason do Atheist have to follow any scripture?

Atheists aren't instructed to leave Jews alone in scripture. If you had read it, you'd know that.
