I was shocked! I kept complaining to my husband that Gordon was back at like 36th and not going anywhere. I just thought he had a bad car... and Johnson was not doing much either. But what a charge to the front at the end! Can you imagine next year when Jr., Johnson, and Gordon are teammates? It might be a 1, 2 ,3 finish!
And about Gordon leaving Johnson and going for the win.... the past few weeks there have been a lot of people complaining about teammates and unfair advantages.... at the end it was all about who was the best that day and going for it all. If Gordon had just pushed Johnson across the finish line people would have found something to complain about that. Me personally, I was rooting for both! I like Hendrick and thought it was shame that Kyle got caught up in the "big one".
Note: The race for Gordon to tie Cale Yarborough at 83 is getting closer! It won't be long before Gordon passes Bobby Allison and Darrell Waltrip for 3rd! Heck, Gordon could do it with 5 wins next season!

it was great, but im getting tired of seeing the same people winning, I was hoping Dave Blaney, Bobby Labonte or some other guy who hasnt won a race in a long time go to victory lane.

did the fans not have beer cans to throw? He didn't do anything for how many laps and then in the last few he sneaks up and wins. Where was he for most of the race, in the back?

Nice! Gordon and Letarte may be the best track strategists in the business today!
Props to Smoke for being cool on the last lap and to Blaney for a little draft help.

That final lap was just amazing, Jeff Gordon getting help from Tony Stewert, and he blows by his teamate Jimmie Johnson, Congradulations to Jeff Gordon on his 80th career win.
What really got me was that all those fans were cheering for him.

With a lil help from my friends!! Thank you Tony!! If I had to choose who to help, it would of been Gordon too, & I luv Junior & Stewart. Gotta give it to Gordon, when asked how he got the win he said he had no idea, but did say Tony gave him a big push & off he went!!

*sigh* My favorite, Kahne, had a really good run going, but when he lost his drafting partner, things just went bad. Running 5th for a LONG time there, just to end up 16th. Proves just how important it is to have a drafting buddy out there at 'Dega.
But what a finish for Jeff. Jeff is a phenomenal racer, and I have to give him credit. Congratulation to Jeff Gordon, the #24 team, and all the Gordon fans.
