To Slipper - I am a non believer, half my friends are non believers and although I try (and often fail) to be unbias I would say this question is more of a attack on believers

So your O for three.

That's probably because Atheists like myself have no dogma to cling to.

All they can really argue over, is the existence of a God - these types of disagreements are more focused.

Arguments between different religious denominations usually involves doctrine, as such the disagreements can be very complex and emotional.

There are no different sects of Christianity. There is Christianity, and there is anti-Christianity, posing as Christianity in different flavours. Christians never persecute others, never attack each other. They are never in a majority. They are always persecuted, including by the thousands of liars on the 'net.

What a sad lot of sorry answers to your question!

If people persecute each other (whether they are believers, or non-believers), it is because of humanity's insecurity!!!

God does not bring insecurity, He Brings Peace beyond human comprehension, beyond any 'peace' offered by mankind!

Those who follow Jesus, who have Him living within their hearts and spirits, have no need to persecute anyone! They have their own faith and what other people believe is between them and God!

Where 'The Body of Christ' is concerned, NO one denomination has ALL the answers, NO one denomination
has ALL The Revelation of God! He made us to work together truly as ONE, accepting our individual flaws and concentrating on His UNCONDITIONAL Love for each one of us!

I have to say that Christianity is the ONLY faith that can be ridiculed, it seems! The Names of God that we hold dear through Jesus, can be used as blasphemy, as curses, as swear words! We are expected to 'turn the other cheek' and accept it and forgive - and we do and pray that those who do it will come to know His Saving Grace and Love for themselves! We would NOT BE ALLOWED to carry on as some religions do when their god is ridiculed, or blasphemed against, or used as a curse, or swear word!

May God Bless you all this night in ways that you will know can only have come from Him and not from any human source - even if it is only with an overwhelming sense of peace in the middle of the darkness created by humanity!

I dont think Ive ever seen such hate in one concentrated area in my life. Regardless to what others say, Ill stand by my belief that Christians are beat up the most by non-christians hands down.

Yes its weird, but very natural for humans to look for differences in each other.

I think the difference between religious and non-religious people is that non-religious people see all religion as a falsehood and religious people see everyone else in competition with them.

Yes look how so-called Christians try to set themselves apart from and above Catholics...it's excruciating and shocking with Sunni Muslims and Shia Muslims killing each other???

Fanatical belief is more deadly than non-belief.

I sympathize with those who persecute in the name of religion or non-religion. They do so out of ignorance and malevolence.

I believe christianity gets the worst beatings. Everyone persecutes it, makes fun of it on tv, on forums and everything else.
