Why does colleges put some grants on hold if I do not presents some documents that the grants did not ask me?

It is not the college's fault for placing the hold on your grants. The federal government and FAFSA officials do it to some of the financial aid applicants. You can tell someone is chosen for verification by or this * next to the EFC score. The best thing is to comply with it immediately, so your financial aid is released to pay off your school tuition if the semester or quarter is in progress.

well i dont know if this is the same thing but my college put me through a process called "verification" and they asked me to turn in documents. i guess its to support what you put on your fafsa is true, but they didnt release or make a financial aid packet without it
