I used to work at a lobster restaurant and would cry every time someone ordered lobster. The poor things! People should order something that doesn't mind being boiled, like carrots.

I think it's extremely cruel. I don't eat lobster, but damn do I hate in when I see them cooked. It's like they're suffocated, boiled and burned alive. At least other animals aren't killed like that. I saw this episode of Hell's Kitchen this past season and I almost cried when the lobsters were being killed. It's just a terrible way to kill something.

The humane way to cook lobster is to put it into cold water and gradually bring it to the boil. This way, the lobster drifts off into unconsciousness before the water gets uncomfortably hot, and it doesn't feel anything.

Hell yes! There is a restaurant called the capital grille here in Atlanta that filets and splits them before they boil 'em or steam them actually. It's quite cruel. I doubt there are many ways to die that aren't painful though. For any creature. I would suggest to Lobsters to stop being so yummy!

Yes. I think it's horrible when any animal is killed this way. I don't eat lobster because i think they are pretty cute. I don't think any animal should be killed this way but a lot of people eat lobster. Long live the lobsters.

I think its more cruel to realise you have run out of butter as they are boiling.

i feel really bad for the lobsters when they throw them in boiling water. they like sufficate to death =(
