mom made pumpkin nut bread for her lunches at work, would it taste good to make a sandwich out of, like a peanut butter sandwich or any kind of sandwich.... also i never tried this but my friend takes peanut butter puts it one side then takes chocolate chips and puts in on the other (like a peanut butter banana sandwich) then he melts it like a grilled cheese. would this be good or does it sound nasty because i was looking for a reeses style taste and dont know if this is what im looking for... also i'm trying to eat healthier (and i was wondering if fruity pebbles for dessert would be better than say ice cream or cookies and what not....

As a chef and grandmother--I love your question!

If you want a Reese's taste in your pumpkin nut bread sandwich, you can actually use real Reese's peanut butter cups. And it would taste great!! Healthy? Maybe not.

Cut the pumpkin nut bread into 1/2 inch slices. Cut the Reese's cups into small pieces and spread over one slice of bread, put other slice on top--and microwave for 40 seconds on High. Ooeygooey wonderful! But not good on a regular basis.

Because it is a nut bread with a distinctive taste you wouldn't use tomatoes, but I would use chicken salad with apples or grapes, cream cheese mixed with honey, cinnamon and cloves, Dates and cream cheese, warm ham and orange marmalade, pineapple and goat cheese----and, of course peanut butter and marshmallow cream with bananas. Elvis would die! I wouldn't butter and fry it though if your are wanting to eat healthier. Some of these might not appeal to you but they are worth considering

Sherbet or fresh fruit would be better than fruity pebbles and ice cream for dessert.

I enjoy nutbreads as a sandwich bread. Anything that you think sounds good likely will be. I love using banana nut bread with peanut butter. Sometimes with cream cheese and jam -- I toast it first to make it more firm.

Things that would also be good with a pumpkin bread sandwich:

spreadable cream cheese
raisins, dried cranberries
peanut butter and cranberry sauce
sliced apples and caramel sauce

Be creative- try something on you own and then come back and tell us how awesome it was...

(PS--real chefs like to combine sweet AND savory elements-- think about putting the leftover turkey in there, dab a little more cranberry sauce, see what you think...)

Sandwiches would be good but, try making French toast with it! French toast made from pumpkin or banana bread is truly a treat!

I don't know about making a sandwich, but softened cream cheese on a slice sounds good.

it incredibly is by skill of a few distance the excellent meatloaf and sooo straightforward! 1Lb of hamber one million roll of sausage (i like Jimmy Dean reg. superb) 2 eggs one million C bread crumbs one million onion (my husband isn't actual keen on onions and that i hate reducing them.. so i exploit dehydrated onions and then in basic terms sprinkle say a teaspoon or greater onion powder in it and it works great!) Then in basic terms blend it nicely ( I prefer to apply my palms to blend it reason it does in fact blend it greater effective and can provide greater effective texture) Throw it in a o.k. BUTTERED loaf pan and stick it in the oven at 350 for form of an hour and a one million/2.. ( in basic terms decrease into it and make optimistic there is not any pink and you already know its executed.. additionally at with regard to the hour mark I drain the fat off of it) and there ya bypass.. like I say actual straightforward and it incredibly is soo solid I even have inspired many a guy with that meat loaf lol Tip: Its great with gravy!
