You are the master of the unspoken word. Once it is out, you are its slave. Then you are either 1. Seen as innocent or 2. Seen as guilty and must repair your situation.
Either way will lead to a better mental and psychological state. For whatever it is, you will heal and feel better.

Basically it means that if you've lied and it's making you feel guilty, be honest, apologise and tell the truth. Apparently it makes you feel a whole lot better.

When you lay it all out there, there is no longer anything or anyone that could scare you, blackmail you, or do anything to hinder your thoughts and freedom. There no longer are no lies or secrets. It's exposed and you have nothing to hide.
